It's slowing down. But it depends on your skill set. It's just becoming evident people don't have skills that are wanted. If you have skills, use them for yourself.
ОтветитьI job hopped this year, best decision I ever made. Increased my salary 25% doing same job.
ОтветитьI have a CDL and drive a concrete truck. Treat me like shit and it's, see ya dumbasses good luck finding someone with a decent driving record, drug free that shows up everyday!!!! Lololol I love it!
ОтветитьLabor Participation Rate is not great. We still have around 7 million able-bodied working-age men not working. And this at a time we have an aging population.
ОтветитьJob hopping is not dying. Just that people do it less right now because we are in a recession. Those unemployment numbers are undercounted!
ОтветитьI just got a 12 percent pay increase and will be getting another 3 percent increase in another month, they are trying really hard to retain staff.
ОтветитьThe labor market looks fantastic for those that don’t participate in it or comment on it or are currently employed.
ОтветитьTerrible advice…
ОтветитьIt’s hard to switch now. Employers want you to have done the exact job before to a ridiculous level. Like literally the same thing, which is often impossible. Salaries are stuck in 2019 and if you mention housing costs or taxes or inflation you get treated like a whiner. It’s ridiculous
ОтветитьSeems like companies are looking for lazy and complacent employees. High volume employees aren’t necessarily valued anymore.
ОтветитьAfter the plandemic, we didn't see a rise in jobs. People were going back to work from unconstitutional lockdowns. Today in 2024, the reason we see a "stable" work economy is because inflation so high noone can leave their current job OR theybworking multiple jobs just to not be homeless.
ОтветитьYou can't trust the jobs reports, especially in an election year. Those numbers are cooked 9 ways to Sunday. Suffice it to say the job market is halfway between "stable" and "bad".
ОтветитьLess people are switching jobs because the market is terrible... they don't pay enough and also the hiring process can take 12 months or more is not that employees don't want to switch is just that is impossible to switch...
ОтветитьDefine "job hopping?" For some employers that one job change in a decade while for others it's two jobs in a year. It's hard to gauge how to anticipate what an HR department will perceive. It's also wise to "job hop" when you're not getting anywhere at a particular position, or you find yourself in a toxic environment after just a few months. I've lived through both scenerios and with the standing advice of "never dis your former employer" still in play, especially for those who leave a toxic environment. I had to finesse the last time when I went job hunting as I quit the toxic employer before I found a new job.
Ответитьbut I'm being told the economy is booming
ОтветитьKen Coleman defender of the elite and the corporations. . .spineless coward. . .everything is the employees fault
ОтветитьIf this loser had to get a job that took more than a laptop and talking into a microphone he wouldn't make it
ОтветитьColeman describes the market as stable and healthy. I describe him as ignorant and tone deaf. Also, stupid.
ОтветитьOnce Kamala win and tax hike goes up for the ceo…. We won’t have a job. Taking care of the middle class is a joke. Just let rich ppl bc rich
ОтветитьNot gonna hit my Sales Quota this year for a new Job I took a year ago.. scary situation in general for workers
ОтветитьThe key to no longer job hopping is to acquire a taste for fecal matter.
ОтветитьThis may sound like a naive question on my part. Why is the government held responsible for creating jobs in the private sector? I sometimes feel like businesses, regardless of whether they’re small, medium or large, blame the government for where they fall short like creating jobs. If small, medium or large businesses want to create jobs, they can do so regardless of what the government might be doing. I believe privately-held and publicly-traded companies drive the so-called economy. The government is responsible for the laws that all of us must abide by. Am I wrong?
ОтветитьThe numbers say more people are looking for a job than ever. Companies aren’t hiring
Ответить"The job market is stable" ... BULL-SHIT!
ОтветитьI switched jobs earlier this year (Feb 2024) and increased my salary by 57%. This was after my employer offered me a dry promotion (no pay increase). To hell with company loyalty!
