yes on ducting and yes on rear steer, but get it running first.
ОтветитьHell yea we want to see rear steer and ducting
ОтветитьThis makes me wish my VW diesel Samurai was still running... Unfortunately, it needs a little too much work. Absolutely love yours, though.
ОтветитьAir is cool. Rear steer is cooler.
ОтветитьREAR STEER!
ОтветитьExo cage time😎
ОтветитьAs a machinist I must say excellent work on that coolant piece… drills, abrasives, and patience can make many things! 👏🏻
ОтветитьGreat videos, could you mount the air filter in the cabin?
ОтветитьRear steered my Sami buggy while linking it, and so glad i did... Time to do the buggy now..
Ответить100% need to add rear steer but get to KOH first!!
ОтветитьNo there isn’t. Any forced induction cuts the lifespan of any motor.
ОтветитьDefinitely do rear steer. Not sure a scoop is necessary at the moment. I would save that down the line when you find a way to package it how you want
ОтветитьYes on rear steer!
ОтветитьYes and YES!
ОтветитьThe way you do video is literally an art form man. Keep it up.
ОтветитьRear steer over the hood scoop lol
ОтветитьYes to both questions! But no rush. If this thing ever gets any of those features down the line, I'm all for it!
ОтветитьWhat go pro do you recommend for wheeling in the snow?
ОтветитьRear steer 🤘🏼
ОтветитьI’d say don’t waste your time doing a video of the plumbing. I’d like to see that Suzuki in action. And as for the rear steer, I’d say go for it! That’d be rad! Keep up the great work! Always enjoy your content. By the way, did you get those Desert Does It seat jackets for your Tacoma yet?
ОтветитьYes on the rear steer, however you should get it ready for KOH and enjoy it
ОтветитьDo you guys own and operate a shop, and do builds for customers? Are you in the Puget Sound area as I am.
ОтветитьYes on the ducting!!!
ОтветитьUse marine terminals on the end of your battery cables, they are designed for a mechanical crimp (no solder needed - can actually cause problems if it wicks up the wire!) and the outside end is fully sealed. Use an adhesive lined heatshrink and you have a clean, reiable weatherproof cable end.
ОтветитьEnjoy all ur builds and loving it.. any chance you going to build a classic 4x4 one day such as 40 series land cruiser in the future? Don't stop building and sharing your creativeness. Keep up the great mods and builds coming.
ОтветитьThis is an absolutely beautiful and incredible build… love how it’s coming along, rear steer would be cool but the ducting I think you need!! Keep up the incredible work!!👍
ОтветитьYes, to rear steer
ОтветитьHell yeah 🤘
ОтветитьDefinitely do rear steer. Mostly because I want a tutorial on how to do it on a samurai… since I have one😂. Packaging and what tryouts choose to use to do rear steer is very interesting to me.
BUT
get it to the hammers FIRST!
WHEELING IT WILL INSPIRE YOU EVEN MORE.
BUT
BE AWARE AND BEWARE.. your zuk buggy will work sooo good that you will be tempted to NOT DO REAR STEER!
THIS IS A TRAP !
This happened to me when I converted my rear to a 4link and IT WORKED SO GOOD. I DID NOT CONVERT THE FRONT. Now life has gotten in the way and my zuk buggy has not given its proper front four link.
Love the camo wrap! I wrapped my entire Yukon Denali in that wrap too. Love seeing the samurai coming along! Getting some ideas on what I should do next on my own.
ОтветитьWhy don't you mount the air filter in the cab
Ответитьas a long time fan of your content. i love seeing your tig welding evolution. a few years ago you had no problem telling us that tig is not your thing. and today you're just tig welding up custom goose necks. nice work!
ОтветитьWell yes on the rear steering.
ОтветитьWow those are some beefy cables!! No cutting corners on those!
ОтветитьI've watched this build from the beginning, actually Ian sent me here to your channel in one of his videos when he talked about where this Samurai went. And I've became a huge fan of your channel ever since. I'll be traveling from Pennsylvania to KOH and would love to see this rig and meeting the owner would be pretty cool too! Hope to see you there!
ОтветитьCome on... really? You made a new coolant flange for the back of the motor, from random pieces of aluminum, drill bits, flap wheels and a grinder. Seriously. That is nuts. That was seriously over and above on of the coolest things I've seen you do. Everything you do is looking forward at could happen and trying to avoid it. I am unfortunately one of those that just says "getter done" and then regrets it later, only to fix what I short cutted. Keep up the incredible work. Rear steer, yes.
ОтветитьI see other channels are beginning to put 74Weld portals on Jeeps and Broncos at $20000 a pop. Unimogs don't seem so crazy anymore, although they are a lot more work.
ОтветитьI am trying to find the voltage sensing relay you talked about can you provide a link?
ОтветитьYou guys ever run outerwears pre filters on your air filter? I run one on my quad and it works great in dusty conditions. You can remove it and clean it without having to remove your air filter. I really helps keeping your filter clean. It is also water resistant.
ОтветитьAbsolutely do a rear steer that would be sick 😎
ОтветитьRear steering would be cool
ОтветитьI'd sudgest you put a fan on that intercooler, because i think this is going to be mooving at slow speeds and all that hot air from the turbo wont be cooled down enough, also having such a small radiator, cool build dont want to be an ass but I think this truck will have some heat issues
ОтветитьGreat video. Glad you made it. Awesome help from Matt & killer feedback from Ian.
ОтветитьI haven't finished the series yet, so maybe you've addressed these in other videos, but just a couple suggestions - 1.) With your battery on the axle, put a fuse right at the terminal - if anything on the trail catches a main battery cable and rips the insulation off you don't want a fire. 2.) I vote against the hood scoop intake - too much risk of ingesting a wave of water if you cross a creek or big puddle. 3.) as others have said, get it running and test it as-is before adding rear steer, but buy the parts :). Very cool build, I've been enjoying the series very much!
Ответитьyes! Rear steer please!!!!
ОтветитьYes on rear steer. I prefer no scoop/ducting unless it is needed.
ОтветитьThe best part of doing trips like that is diff seaps and trans swaps in a random O'Reilly's or autozone parking lot. Done it many a times lmfao
ОтветитьRear steer for sure its such a badass rig it would just fit but wheel it for a bit first
Ответитьwhat about the volt sensitive relay in case of an alternator failure?
ОтветитьDude! This makes me so sad I sold my Samurai! I love your content. Very motivating!
