I've carried a Pacific Salt for years.
Now waiting for Spyderco to release their Military 2 with compression lock with the black blade.

Looks like a good production utility type knife. I’ve been impressed this year with the Spartan Knives / Ronin Shoto Folding Karambit. Have you tried a key shackle? EDC kids seem to favor it. I do it old school as well.

I’m finding that a lot of people are starting to forge their own knives and starting little businesses doing it, but they’re charging way to much for something that isn’t proven yet. Prove your product before you sell me your product.

I have a PM3 and love the knife, except for the pos clip. As to this date, I have not found a suitable replacement. If anyone has a suggestion, hit me up

I've been using the exact same knife for the past 2 years and couldn't agree more about the clip. I ended up replacing mine with a LynchNW clip and it's been great but I have the same issue with it still working its way out when lifting up my flannel/hoodie.

H1 salt blades are too soft. I believe Spyderco is going to use Magnacut instead. Even LC200 as on my favorite knife of all time, the Spydiechef, is better than H1. By the way, my standard weight PM3 has micarta replacement scales and has never jumped out of my pocket, the weight difference is worth it to retain the knife better.

I've had mine for 4 or 5 years. It's my favorite knife. I've personally never had a problem with the pocket clip and like it better than the clips on my other spydercos, in fact.

You should look into the para 2 or 3 with magnacut steel rather than H1. It also has good corrosion resistance, but the magnacut has better edge retention.

A bit late to the party.
H1 is a super corrosion resistant steel but doesnt have much else going for it.

If you want another steel that just as stainless but also has good edge retention, Vanax is the way to go.

However, for steels that can also hold up to salt water with only a minor amount of discoloration and no rust (whereas the H1 doesnt really even discolor) your beet bets for Spyderco would be LC200N steel (good toughness and slightly subpar edge retention but way better than H1) or MagnaCut steel (the new hotness that is super tough, super corrosion resistant, and also holds and edge for a long time)

Spyderco's Salt series with green handles is LC200N and their newer yellow scale Salt knives are made with Magnacut.

You could also look into the SpydieChef knife- LC200N steel with a titanium framelock. Decently light but not too light.

If you want to look outside of them, there are a TON of MagnaCut knives showing up on the market.
Zero Tolerance, Hogue, Kershaw, LionSteel, you name it. Its showing up everywhere, and for good reason.
