The idiotic reason it's holy to Muslims cos mad Mohammed claimed he flew to heaven on a winged donkey that had a woman's head (no witnesses of course, is it surprising?), he said they made a stop at a mosque but never said which ! Muslims after he died declared it was the al aqsa mosque at temple mount (tho this mosque wasn't built at the time when moho supposedly took his trip/dream, but then facts don't matter to muslims). So for the dumbest claim the privileged Muslims took away the most holy place to Jews! Crazy huh?
