I ma going to exchange my quest 2 and buy guest 3, but not 3s.

Quest 3S is Trash - save more to get quest 3 instead

(My opinion) The 256gb is £/$400 and the quest 3 512gb is £/$470 i think you are better off just saving an extra 70 for better graphics and pancake lenses (night and day to the Fresnel)

Im probably gonna get a quest 3s because I'm getting 300 for Christmas

A cautionary tale for current and prospective Meta Quest VR headset owners (for sim'ing or gaming):

I'm on day 8 of Meta holding my Quest headsets hostage. I've been using Oculus/Quest devices from the day they started making them (10 years ago?), and I have not been required to give my date of birth to Meta in all this time. But they recently demanded my DOB under threat of disabling my Quests, and they made good on that threat 8 days ago. Meta can metaphorically brick your headsets, any time they want, and for any reason they want, and you will have no defense against it.

Conclusion: Think carefully before you BUY anything from Meta; The thing you BUY will not be yours.

missing jack for headphones is dealbreaker for me. Same goes in choolsing a smartphone.

I still own a occulus Quest but I am thinking of Switching over to Meta because I can NOT AFFORD a NEW Meta Quest rite now. HOPE they go down in price at some point and time. But until then I am most likely going to be switching over to Meta to contue to play with my occulus quest as it has been awhile. Lol.
I even heard and read the clarity and optics are the SAME for quest 2 and quest 3 as they are for Meta Quest. I have 3 so that is good to know. Ty for the post. 🤩👍🖕

They should of made the headset 350 bucks to improve the lenses inside the headset, them old pancake lenses is the only thing that turns me off from this headset unfortunately 🫤

I can also vouch for Prism XR's Puppis S1 high speed wireless adapter. All the speed and clarity of a wired connection, while wireless.

Lens is quest 2. the inside is quest 3.. easy, love my quest 2, rather 3S insead of quest 3. $200 differense for the small amount of pixle? picking up mine tomorrow, and cant wait!

256Gb for 400$ is quite stupid imo, Why go for that when you can opt for the 512GB Quest 3 for an extra 100$

I think this just acts as a bridge so the 256Gb buyers would consider dumping the extra 100$ for the 3

Just got mine today. I tried the 3 and the 3s and the 3 is definitely not worth an extra $200. The 3s rocks but this is also my first vr headset. Glad they gave us a good budget friendly option.
