July Reading Wrap Up • As I Melt in this Texas Summer! Thriller • Horror • Romance • Celeb Poetry?

💋 OH MY GOD. Your delivery of the "will you let me into your heart?" line. When I tell you the chills I felt and how my every hair stood on end! I maintain that this is one of the freakiest books EVER. And okay, this is going to sound like the dumbest question ever, but when you showed your notes, I was like WHAT IS THIS MAGIC?? Is there an app or a special thing you are using? Please tell all! And you've sold me on the Megan Fox book, especially now that I see the illustrations. Does it list the artist? Is it Audrey Kawasaki? (Pretty sure I recognize her style, I've got her work hanging on my walls!) Best book in July: Fruiting Bodies by Kathleen Harlan. Worst book (I'm very sorry to say) was The Madness by Dawn Kurtagich.

I added Darling Girls and The Widow on Dwyer Court. Both sound amazing. My favorite books from July were Incidents Around The House, We Used To Live Here, and Night Watching. 💋

I’m looking forward to reading The Stepford Wives. It’s one of those books that I can’t believe I haven’t already read. I actually had to ask my library to order a copy because for some reason none of the libraries in the city had a copy, if you can believe it! Another great wrap-up. I also enjoyed the Red Dragon movie. Also, if you’ve never watched the tv show Hannibal, I implore you to do so. It’s SO SO good. The first season is actually a prequel to the books.

A recent book I loved was “What Happened to Nina?” by Dervlin McTiernan. So good! Check it out.

The Shining is one of the few movies I like better than the book. lol. I read Megan's book this month. I'm legitimately concerned for her safety.
