One thing is true, no matter where you are in the world. It’s always cheaper to eat at home make your own food and the way to guarantee it’s healthy.
ОтветитьNice video!
ОтветитьI just watched your video. And strongly disagree. I have been living in thailand for almost 1 year, comfortably on 5000baht per week. And have a very good life. Yes, I have made some big purchases like a car and condo. But I would have had an apartment or house and car in the uk. So granted, I don't pay rent. 21,600 per month in thailand is more than doable. So many people in thailand can live on $500. But they would have to cut thier cloth as my grandma would say. Granted 21,600 is around $640. But this includes alcohol on a daily basis. So I am sure someone with a healthy life stay could do it on $500.
Ответитьthankyou
ОтветитьThank you for the honest review.
ОтветитьWhats with all the metric stuff?
ОтветитьLOL...LOL...living in the middle of nowhere, with 3 sick cows and 12 relatives....LOL!!!! Love it!
ОтветитьWhy would you want to pay the same price over $1,000 in another country? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? That's a lot of money figuring it's in another country. Why would you want to pay that kind of money? That's a mortgage in America😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьI don't understand why. Would you want to go fly to another country, retire or work remotely and pay over $1,000 for a condo when in fact I'm living in a brand new house built from the ground up. I bought it in 2018. Of course there is taxes and other fees but why would I want to pay the same price? And I have solar in the house enough for six people to live in there. But it's just me here in America. I pay exactly $1,300 a month for the mortgage. Okay, you're paying the same price in Thailand for a condo close to what I'm paying for a brand new built house or near new house now LOL on 8,276 square feet a house sits on that square feet inside or outside. Dimensions of the house is 1,700 square feet with all the utilities that you will not get in Thailand in America, but here's the kicker. You're paying $25 less than me in Thailand in a condo and you're doing it in meters. I'm doing it in square feet. Okay there's issues there but the price that you're paying for your unit. I am paying for $1,700 square feet house cement roof. Nobody can see my house other than half of it because there's a 8 ft wall around the whole house. Open floor plan inside with all them bells and whistles you're not going to get in Thailand. But anyway that's not the issue. The point is I'm getting a better deal with a drive-in two-car garage. Not going against what you're doing but I would never spend that kind of money in another country for a condo So-Called condo but anyway That's here or there. The point is you will never see me even though I got the money. Go that high on a place. I know you require something that's close to where you are from in America footage and amenities, but look at the money and you say to yourself. Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. Wait a minute. I got the house at home even though I'm visiting and living in Thailand I'm getting a smaller unit. Of course you got the amenities pool weight room and such, but I will never come to Thailand and spend that kind of money even though I got it. I would go maybe somewhere around $700 a month. Never over exceeding my house in America LOL. That's just me. I ain't going no $1,000 a month in another country. That's just upsurd😂😂 but to each his own I would downsize because I'm like a low-key guy. I know it's a benefit to have quality stuff in another country. So-called but anyway I just think I could not have myself give money to somebody else in another country equal to what I do in America. Not going to do that but to reach us alone but to each is own😂😂😂
ОтветитьIt’s sounds like you should’ve stayed in the US
ОтветитьThanks for this video. Your videos sound very realistic. It is very much appreciated.
ОтветитьToo much yapping. Give us a tour of where you live visually
ОтветитьLooks like a nasty city. Ill take the countryside
Ответитьi dont think they were meaning living off 500 a month i think they mean housing rental being 500 a month, atleat thats what i got out of it
ОтветитьWho wants to lives in a tiny place in a crowded noisy humid city. Go to Puked.
ОтветитьYOU ARE A LIAR I BEEN THERE IT. CHEAP FAKE VIDEO
ОтветитьOnly a crackhead living in a cardboard box under an overpass, would think you can make it in Bangkok for $500. I spent 2 weeks in Bangkok and I have a Thai lady friend who I've known for 4 months and there is so much to consider, when moving here. Health insurance alone, will be around $100 and the cost of a car alone, would be a struggle for even someone on a $1,000 budget.
I plan on moving to Bangkok in a couple of years and I only make $1,278 per month(via my disability pay)....and even at this amount, one has to be very frugal(as living paycheck to paycheck each month, without any savings at all, is insane...regardless of where you live.)
I lived in Phuket Thailand for one year and my rent was $580 for a two bedroom and I live on around $800 a month. Vs now being back in the US where am at $3000 a month and $1900 is rent
ОтветитьWho cares how those buildings were built? we are renting and when it falls down or gets demolished we will know and move out. So get lost dude you are the one who is looking for more viewers here.
ОтветитьMy visit to Thailand was about 1850usd for 1 month, included food, travel resort stays hotel stays
ОтветитьI heard all of this in all the other videos that tell us about cheap cost of living in Thai. They make several videos that address what you said and more even visas. Sounds like you’re trying to shoot certain peoples videos down for subs, followers and sponsors. They shoot no one’s videos down and break everything you’re saying and more down in several videos.
ОтветитьObviously you can’t live on 500 Geez
ОтветитьI didnt learn anything from this. You just said the direct opposite of what others have said to make a video. A simple reverse of words. Actually annoyed me.
ОтветитьSensible video thanks
ОтветитьThanks for the video and pointing out the inconsistentcies in the stretched truths & reality. It seems your really stirred up the nest here. Can you do 1 on the cost of producing 1 of these. Cheers!
ОтветитьGreat video and informative - I moved to pattaya 2 months ago (Christmas time / new years time was expensive) I pay for me and my girlfriend, I’ve easily spent more than $6000 in 2 months, hotels at first then now $700 rent, Breakfast, lunch and dinner out every day was easily $100-$200 a day, especially if you include alcohol and activities. If I look at my bank, it’s closer to 300,000 Baht for the time I’ve been here
ОтветитьThey’re not lying. It all depends on the location. The outskirts are much cheaper than innercity. Just depends on what you can afford Of course no luxury
ОтветитьI’m thinking about moving to Hua Hin. Good idea?!
ОтветитьI've been to Bangkok several times...and found the farther from the heart of Bangkok, the cheaper the rent. Unfortunately, you're probably not walking distance to mass transportation!
ОтветитьI have lived ten years in northern Thailand. My wife and I built a house with saved money 7 years ago, so the accommodation is now almost free, electricity and water about 700 baht a month. We live much like Thais cook ourselves but also treat ourselves to what we feel like but still a completely normal life. Our budget is about 30,000 baht a month.
One must keep in mind that here in Phrae everything is cheaper than in Bangkok.
I don't need health insurance because healthcare and medicine are free for both of us who have had government jobs.
Great video! ❤💛
Ответить42000 bht for apartment !!! They ripping you off fool.
ОтветитьStreet food is filthy. I am Thai and got sick from eating street food. No sanitarian. They don't wash their hands. I cook for myself is best. I would buy cook duck but wash it first before you eat it because you don't know the bacteria on their hands who sell them. A piece of cake 350 bahts from Silom areas. Uniqlo woman pants was $29. Now it is $49 same as US. Iphone costs more in Thailand by $200 more than USA per device ie iphohe 16 US $699. Thailand $899 plus VAT from istudio.
Ответитьhow well can i live for say 5k--7k?
Ответить"NO YOU'RE WRONG!!! AND HERE'S WHY..." (proceeds to repeat literally EVERYTHING Serg just said in the video)
ОтветитьI put this comment in march 2025
Hi I'm from UK 🇬🇧
Thailand is not good place for travel anymore
Thailand was good 20 years ago now NOT !
Thai people are rich now by tourists and do not do respect to Europe and UK and USA tourists spacially immigration
disrespecting lots in airport
New Thailand government happy with India 🇮🇳 people and open everything for them and new Thailand government absolutely rubbish and easy disrespect European people
And very clear request to pay for example they say if u want stamp visa and if you want to visit Thailand pay now 50,000 or more .... and if u not pay them about 100,000 in airport go detention and back to your country I have proof of it and I have some records from them bad behaviour in airport and detention places
I can show to all the world 🌎 what Thai immigration spacially new government do with tourists and put them to dirty toilet inside a cages and call that place detention , seriously do not put your money and do not put your time in Thailand anymore because enough disrespecting enough to make them rich and thai police and thai immigration are extorting money , !
Best place now is Vietnam 🇻🇳 👌🏻 absolutely nice and beautiful and nice people, now Vietnam is same 20 years ago in thailand
It's much more than $500.00 ! Food alone is almost $500/month in BKK.
ОтветитьMaintenance is very hard, built, but no maintenance. U r right.
ОтветитьDon’t move abroad only to live in poverty.
ОтветитьWell, we know it is impossible to live in Bangkok and in Thailand for 500$. Thanks for sharing the reality! No life no money hostel people can probably can live on that low budget
Ответить$3000 B
ОтветитьIf you're if you're going to live in Bangkok while doing a real job, not teaching English, Try demanding an extra fee for a place to live that has indoor service and also try to negotiate for a car allowance because you personally do not ever want to drive in Thailand------ Never drive never drive yourself never, I said never.
I brought a lot of money with me to Thailand from the sale of my five bedroom single family home in Florida. When I bought a six bedroom nice home here in the edge of Bangkok within a gated community but only three bathrooms. My family owns it outright because we bought it that way, and my Fla. money also bought all new 230 Volt furniture including refrigerator, and basic stuff and the seller gave me microwave free. There is a lot of fun in walking through a sales floor with a big cart and say "I want one of those and two of those." I sold all my 110 volt stuff for pennies on the value.
How about five or six KUKRI while in Nepal And sold them for five times the amount via Internet. Show a pretend bad boy in America a KUKKRI and he starts salivating.
