ОтветитьI was diagnosed with nafld a few months back. I weighed in at 230lbs and am currently around 212lbs. My enzyme levels all went back to good but obviously I realize that doesn’t mean I no longer have a fatty liver.
Anyway I just wanted to say I love these recipes she posts. I’ve made her chicken noodle soup one a bunch of times and keep some in the freezer. Thank you for posting these. As someone who never paid attention to what they were eating it’s nice to be able to come to your page and get healthy meal ideas when I’m at a loss on what to cook.
Have you ever eaten shashuka? Would you recommend it being eaten often?

ОтветитьIn my country many many many!!! Years ago, there was a camping saying “Los Huevos son inocentes”, basically “The eggs are innocent”, because before they said that too much eggs it was bad for you, but nope. Besides there’s a ton of ways to make them, and they’re delicious.

ОтветитьI saw a video where you said you have IBS, I have it too and this dish wouldn't suits me. I don't manage to it so much onions and beans in the same meal. I struggle to really stay out of the low fodmap diet to be honest. I contamin it here and there, but not on a regular basis and mostly with food that gives me less or no symptoms (for example grains).

ОтветитьI know eggs have been a big topic lately, but they remain a great protein option — easy to prepare, part of a heart-healthy diet, packed with essential nutrients, and a high-quality source of protein!
One-Pot Rice and Beans Baked Eggs Recipe (this recipe is AHA Heart-Check Certified):
- Preheat oven to 400˚F. Heat 2 tbsp oil in an ovenproof skillet set over medium heat.
- Cook 1 chopped medium onion, 1 seeded and diced jalapeño pepper, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 tsp ground cumin, 1 tsp dried thyme, 1 tsp chili powder, ¼ tsp salt, and ¼ tsp pepper for about 5 min or until onion starts to soften.
- Stir in 1 cup of rinsed and drained canned black beans and ½ cup corn kernels until well coated.
- Stir in 14 oz can of diced tomatoes and bring to boil. Stir in 2 cups of cooked long-grain brown rice.
- Make 4 small divots in rice mixture with spoon and crack an egg into each divot.
- Transfer to the oven and bake for 10-12 min or until egg whites are set and yolks are cooked to desired doneness.
- Stir together ¼ cup fat-free sour cream, ½ tsp lime zest, and 2 tsp lime juice. Drizzle over rice and eggs.
- Sprinkle with parsley.
Additional Notes:
- Substitute pinto beans for black beans if desired.
- The USDA recommends cooking eggs until the yolk and whites are firm.
