This is the race engine of paramotors, why you got to invest in an EGT especially if you don't fly it at sea level. In addition, the EGT is as good as an oxygen sensor when you're near stoichiometric air fuel ratio AFR. In my independent professional testing, I found 700-705C was hovering around 14.7:1 AFR (lambda 1.0) with my sensor and location in the pipe. I run 93 octane with boostane (makes ~99 octane), klotz full synthetic, stabil marine.

Check out my channel and shorts on tuning the Thor 202/303.

Trevor please read this: you should change your gearbox oil sooner than later as maintenance, it's a wet clutch and there is plenty of clutch material coming off. Ask your mechanic to check it out and he should see how black it is, I have a short showing this on my channel. I change mine every 5-7 hours, because it costs about $1 in oil and I'm the mechanic so it's easy. I use Mobile motorcycle racing oil for wet clutch gearboxes.

The Thor 202 puts out, but you got to deal with the drama.

is there chance to have too much thrust? lets say a motor puts out 150kg thrust instead of 75kg. can the wing stall on a full throttle climb?

Your transition mixture might be excessively lean if your exhaust temps are high at cruise.

lack of heat exchange oil or coolant or both, ether way need coolant or oil cooling getting more air over fluids FIXED, air coolers add weight but lack there or will decreases reliability. easy fix with weight...POWER is good..couple pounds but does it have provisions or do they need to be drilled and tapped?

Just now realizing this? I put 300 hours on mine last year, to have someone tell me im unqualified to own the wing i needed. This set me back 1 week in my progression. All involved will pay for this.

Yeah, I was excited to get a Polini 202 because of the higher power and lower consumption but the fact that you have to keep babying the temps just seems ridiculous to me... Guess I'll just keep my MY20 mostersince it's never let me down

Where do I get one of those engine-temp gauges? Brand/model?

Strange that the engine temps are such a big deal with a liquid cooled engine. Especially strange that cruise power is a risky temp range.

Trevor look into the smartcarb SC2. This will solve all the tuning issues you mentioned once sorted. I had one on my Thor 250. Flew anywhere from Moab at 4000ft to 10000ft in Colorado. No sweat.

Raced a polini dirt bike when I was a kid
In the mini class. Strong and fast motor but it was temperamental little thing. They definitely like to be ran rich!!
