That Icct Hedral orchestration was great
ОтветитьPlease, have a look at my music.
ОтветитьTo be honest it doesn't really sound like he liked his music all that much and is just being diplomatic..
ОтветитьLovely man and great musician.
ОтветитьHe looks shattered.
ОтветитьЭто ж Ширвиндт
ОтветитьDuublow donkie dingo uno ;D
Ответитьtwo of the greastest to ever do it
ОтветитьGreat collaboration 🐾☘️☘️☘️
Ответитьwhat?! on what did they collab?!?!
ОтветитьWas RDJ being modest? It seems pretty clear that he knows his way around a keyboard. Either that or he took lessons in the late 90s.
ОтветитьNice clip but I can't forgive this man for haunting my dreams with his music from Candyman.
ОтветитьWhy are u gey?
Ответить"I like music when I don't understand it". Richard said the same thing in an interview at some point.
ОтветитьWell clearly his memory is in a grey area. Listen to way he tried to recall certain aspects of the story. He will give a wide window of specifics. Also why is this video so short?
ОтветитьI saw Phillip Glass perform at my college and it was a mesmerizing experience. Got to meet him later and he was very very kind.
ОтветитьThat’s one lucky man
ОтветитьPhilip Glass, one of the greatest memes in the industry; the most successful noob that ever lived.
Ответить“He doesn’t have a formal training” and “so I wonder where your ideas come from”... 💩 poop reasoning of a snob. Like, as if “ideas” can come out of “training” ?!
ОтветитьHe’s the closest thing to John Cage in our time.
Ответитьhow tf did i never know about this collab
ОтветитьWtf??? They did collaboration?!??!?! Nice
ОтветитьI feel glass when he said he was attracted to music he didnt understand but liked very much.
ОтветитьI don’t understand Phillip Glass’ music, either, and yet I’m intrigued every time I hear it. Aphex Twin is easy to like. Put them together and you’ve got something INTERESTING 🧐
ОтветитьWe have him to thank for much of the foul, stinking, cheap and nasty junk around these days, that idiots have the audacity to call "music"! Glass is a meddler; an insufferable old bore; a non-entity.
Ответитьexperimenting with random equipment seems so fun. this collab is interesting
ОтветитьHappy, happy, happy. Everybody's happy.
ОтветитьLike how he "tryed" to explain his "musical" training. With richard...you never ask questions. He knows his path and where it will go. Essentially Phil was an "experiment" to him. And it worked beautifully
ОтветитьI'm probably in the minority in that I came to the collaboration as a Glass fan first but I came out of it a fan of both. Philip Glass did a similar thing with Ravi Shankar - where each would compose a piece and present it to the other and the other would have their ensemble play it how it fit their style and instrumentation.
It's truly a wonderful experiment to take the music of someone else and translate it into your own musical language - especially if that language is very different than your own. I'm not sure that Icct Hedral is one of my very favorite AFX II tracks, but I think it most definitely adds something very worthwhile to Richard's catalog.
another great clip, thanks RB Music Adacdemy for these interviews. good questions, very open format, great guest and interviewer
ОтветитьThis guy sucks so much.
ОтветитьJust so you guys know he's like 80 in this...... wow
Ответить"When I don't understand something I get curious about it".
If only more people approached the unknown like that, Bob Dylan would've never wrote "Don't criticize what you can't understand".
'I like music when I don't understand it' ~ That's exactly why I love both their music. I don't really understand it in any structural sense, but the puzzle fascinates me. And every time I hear it I discover something different I didn't notice before.
ОтветитьIt’s really nice to hear a Legend comment on his work with another Legend
ОтветитьThere were some sounds that I had to warm up to with Richard's music. It didn't make sense. I couldn't congeal the sound.. But then I started hearing it and I could see. It became less like noise and became organic. There still are certain sounds/noises that I don't like, i.e. highpitched tones sustaining through a track, but those are designed to irritate to a degree.
I've been listening to Aphex since '96.
Imagine seeing Icct performed live by Glass though 🤯
ОтветитьIs there an album about their collaboration !???
Ответитьdo you need to understand aphex twin intellectually or can it just be for the enjoyment of sound?
ОтветитьMaster on master. Love it
ОтветитьThat's not exactly true
Ответитьreally interesting how he would add tracks to Richard's music, then remove Richard's tracks.. I never thought of collaborating with another person that way. Kind of "infusing" their style into your own sound.
ОтветитьSaw Glass in Bristol many years ago.. absolutely amazing… the audience was made up of the classical folk in dinner attire.. and weirdo electronica people, Philip played beautifully and both sets of the audience loved it. So glad I got to be there.
ОтветитьI had a chance several years back to hear Mr. Glass live with full orchestra playing his Heroes composition (among many others). Richard James' remix of Glass' version, basically combining elements of himself, Glass, and Bowie remains one of my favorite go to tracks.
Of course my best friend decided to get married and make me his best man on the exact day of the concert.
I'm still bitter about it. 😅
fucking redbull sign behind them is triggering my tripophobia wtf
Ответитьmost of movies and music im obsessed with are stuff, at first glance, i didnt get what was going on,.. but i liked i t
ОтветитьSo this guy has worked with both Aphex Twin AND Fred Again!? wow.. too much musical genius sorry
ОтветитьGreat clip , didn't understood a word he's saying
Ответить
