ОтветитьI had an old 59 Triumph tr3 I could hand crank, but you had to be careful the kickback seemed like it could break your arm lol
ОтветитьI have an old russian tractor. MTZ82, it uses a 24 volt starter, 12volt alternator, 12 volt accessories, a series parallel switch. I have constant problems with switch. I found a alternator that claims to have 12 volt post and 24 volt post. I want to rewire tractor to have 24 volt battery(2x12series) charge with 24 volt post, use the 12 volt post to run accessories. Can this work? What do I need to check for?
ОтветитьGood person..
ОтветитьHey you're amazing.thanks alot for your complete explaining..you rock
ОтветитьWow, that's so difficult to maneuver around. My dad was a master mechanic trained in the Navy as ship's mechanic of USS Saratoga. All I remember with his service station, was his neck aching. So this really shows the tight spots mechanics get into, much respect.
ОтветитьThis how pyramids were built
ОтветитьSome call that a Lone Wolf 6000.
ОтветитьThe best class I ever seen amazing everything clear and consistent explain thank you Dan I really appreciate your time and dedication. God bless America.
Ответитьstarter relay function please??

ОтветитьWhy does the soliniod needs to always be connected with postive and does not rundown the battery
ОтветитьDear Sir,
My congratulations for your educational, beautiful and fully explained video.
But I still have some questions to ask: it often happens that the gear of the bendix does not retract into the starter motor after the engine has been started, but continues to be driven onto the flywheel.
What could be the consequences of this: that the bendix, soleonide or starter motor would burn if I did not hear it and start driving my car at a higher RPM then the starter is made for?
Does the bendix function a little bit like a ratchet, that it can spin freely without causing any damages?
Could it be that the solenoid (relais) continues to receive electrical impulses from the ignition switch, (the electrical part from the switch) even when the ignition key is released?
Or is this fault caused by the mechanical part of the starter motor?
Does it then stick to the flywheel, or can it get stuck due to some dirt and no longer retract due to the current flow that isn't interrupted.
I even had a strange experience about 5 months ago, that the key was in the "Run" position (and not in the start position) and the starter started the engine.
This happened 3 times in one week, but in the past 5 months this didn't happen again, it disappeared on its own.
I would greatly appreciate your views on this, for which I would like to thank you.
Good luck with your upcoming videos.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьVery nice.beautiful.i know this process after 15year.feeling very happy.
Ответить"he flies right off the handle for nothing..." was first written in 1834, by Thomas c. Haliburton.
the motor wagon was produced in 1956, over 30 years later. There where horseless carriages being talked about in 1803, and a steam powered carriage that was sold to the public in the 1920s.
Model t was 1908
If flying of the Handle came from slipping off the crank start of a model T, why was it written down 80 years prior? Because like an axe head off the handle mid swing, a man flying off the handle can get someone killed for having committed the sin of being in arms reach.
I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm just saying that the mass use of the term was well before the mass use of the car that supposedly is the origin of the term.
thanks so much God Bless
Ответитьexcellent. thank you.

ОтветитьReally appreciate your demonstration
Ответитьgreat to watch again
ОтветитьGreat job in explaining.
ОтветитьGreat video. Anyone know what would cause a starter on a ford van (2012) to not disengage for about 6 seconds after the van Starts? I'm thinking a bad solenoid.
Ответитьgood ,grazie beautifull video.
ОтветитьThanks for teaching great video
ОтветитьWhat if the starter is turning but it sounds like a flat battery? The batteries are brand new and tested okay but after 1 or 2 seconds turning the key it starts to sound like battery is flat? If I hold key down for about 20 seconds the car starts to sound normal the started speeds up and car starts. Could this be a sign of starter problem?
ОтветитьSmooth,,,great video
ОтветитьYou are talking too much.
ОтветитьSuper video on car starters for DIYers like me. Thanks
ОтветитьHey Dan Great video. Question for ya ... I'm experiencing a problem where my starter will intermittently continue to crank even after shutting off car or removing the key. Could my starter be faulty or is it an electrical problem?
ОтветитьBig Dan the Man!!! Another EXCELLENT and well defined instructional video my friend!!!! Awesome lesson👍🏾💯🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Ответитьthe 2010 Olympics destroyed Vancouver BC turning it into an unaffordable scathole
ОтветитьEXCELLENT DEMO THANK YOU.
ОтветитьAll that is needed is One detailed elecric diagram of starting system, with good verbal explanation. ... 5 minutes should be plenty enough ...and then some.
ОтветитьI have a question. I have a 1961 Chevy Apache the starter has four terminals the two big lugs, one for the solenoid and the other for the ignition not ground. It’s grounded through the chassis. Can you explain how this works? The HEI is attached to the ignition screw the solenoid ( purple wire )is obviously ignited by the ignition ( pink under dash white at this terminal).
ОтветитьA great outstanding you are the GOAT
