just started looking at this so i hope i'm not being redundant??? but the thing that's bothering me is, why no open "beta" testing, like Pathfinder, to make sure that the players had input?

With how much Edge has changed and it seeming to represent an in game momentum system, they probably should have renamed Edge into something else just to avoid confusion.

I wonder how 6th ed will change character progression (i.e. using karma & contacts) and equipment acquisition and all the other activities outside of an actual SR mission.

It seems like Edge points in 6e might be (potentially) entirely discretionary for the GM to award to players based on the situation the GM has laid out.

Seriously, they screwed up mentor spirits all the time so we just won't give a drek about what is included or not. All spirits are allowed, and that's it.

Ok, the comment that the core book is not the place for fluff? I disagree with that. It is where the setting is revealed, and why the rules are the way they are is laid out. "So it came to pass" should be in every edition, for example, but its omission from 5th always bugged me.

As someone who is new to shadowrun and have had some trouble joining online games, a new edition is a blessing. I hope to have an easier time getting into a game and not have the power creep that comes with splat books.

Feels like deckers got a big power boost, being able to get a 9 or multiple 9's out of the gate is crazy using pure gear, as well as being able to use multiple tools to enhance their matrix capacity. Meanwhile the technomancer description is "its basically the same as 5th but no paragons or streams".......lovely. Especially frustrating as the "book" that gave technomancers the same love and care as every other class was only released late last year, after waiting 5+ years for my favourite class to finally be "fixed" this feels like something I really enjoy just kicked me in the face.

Great video, thanks. My group (chummers from Brazil) just arrived in Shadowrun and we're having a hard time getting used to all the rules. I'm the only one who have played SR before, but it was the 3rd edition... a lot to understand so far. The Shadowcasters Network has being a great help.
