ОтветитьCracking day out
ОтветитьGreta video gents, took me down memory lane.
My dad ran a canoe touring company in the 70’s and 80’s on the Tumut (and ‘bidgee), and my brother and I learnt to fish from some of the guests who would come waving these strange long rods over the water where we were floating live grasshoppers we’d caught down a likely looking seam. We grasped early that pulling a hopper from a fly box was a lot less hassle than chasing them down and pinning them to a hook!
40 years later the river looks in fine shape (probably good they got rid of most of the willows).
I’m based in Calgary Alberta now, and the fishing’s pretty good, but it’s always good to get back to your roots, even if it’s only digitally.
I’ll look you up next time I’m back in Aust., and do a float I it you - looks like you guys have it all figured out.
Nice vid fellas
ОтветитьWho doesn’t like fishing hoppers especially when the trout are keyed into them . Thanks for taking us along .
