Is it true you can't store aromatics?
ОтветитьI use a pistol hard case when traveling, I cut the foam in half which protects the pipes on one side. The “unfoam” side I put everything else. Works good in luggage.
ОтветитьHey Chris, I have 7 ounces of an English blend that I'm planning on cellaring (I have another 7 ounces of the same blend that I'll be smoking now) and I've seen all around different methods of cellaring but the biggest question I have is, should I try to fit all of it in one jar by pressing it together as much as possible or should I separate it out between a couple jars?
ОтветитьDid you ever make the video explaining how you make the stickers for the top of your tobacco jars?
ОтветитьAs a fly fisherman, I find this to be essential for everyone who spends any time outdoors. The only differing thing I do is always keep my pipe inside the pouch, both to protect it from scrapes and bumps, but also to keep my pipe dry. I live in Scotland where rain is a daily occurrence, and also spend alot of time in rivers and Lochs fishing. As the comedian Billy Connolly once put it; "Kilts are not the national dress of Scotland, teuchters (Country folk) wear wellies (rubber boots)". Keeping a pipe dry in Scotland is a challenge in it's own right, but the pouch is still a step up from the zip lock bags I used to use.
ОтветитьHi Chris, I'll come out and say i miss your presentations Hope all is good and early spring to you
ОтветитьI smoke Canadians with at least 7in long shanks. Great setup for shorter pipes though! Thanks!
Ответитьi can't believe it..i scored some dunbar
ОтветитьHey Chris, haven't seen any activity in a while. Hope all is well with you.
ОтветитьHey muttonchop piper, I have a question to ask. I have been smoking a pipe a little over three years and tend smoke vapers, a few aromatics, burleys, well anything really as long as it doesn’t have Latakia. Reason being, the only Latakia I have tried was Frog Morton on the Town and it dried my mouth out, really sever cotton mouth. The best way to describe would be to imagine pouring a bottle of salt into your mouth then filling it with cotton balls and try to swallow. There was no pain, no bite, and cotton mouth would go away 2-3 minutes after a puff. But only one puff would do this every time. Now my question. I really want to give latakia another try and wondered what blend I could try that would have the least Latakia in it? Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you!
ОтветитьHope you are well, miss your videos. Best regards.
ОтветитьSure as hell ain't a pack of cigarettes and a lighter but sure is classy.
ОтветитьWhat kind of pipe is that? I think it's a Savinelli but not sure exactly which one it is
ОтветитьHey Muttnchop, I bought this pouch after watching your review and I love it. My only concern is the front pocket by the clip, where you put your lighter and chech tool, it has openings on the bottom and top 2 corners. I haven’t used the pouch outside yet, but I’m concerned the chech tool can fall out of the opening. Let me know what you think. I just don’t want anyone to lose their tool or other belongings. Thanks
ОтветитьThank you very much for sharing with us. Just ordered! Thank you also for your helpful videos and sharing your pipe experience and knowledge. I am a novice pipe enjoyer and find your information so helpful. Thank you again. And best to you and yours.
ОтветитьIt has Molle attachment system! I can remain Tacti-cool with a pipe! Seriously though, just about every bag now has a molle patch that you can attach this too. Looks like it would be a nice First Aid kit bag too, as a backup to my larger trauma bag that I keep in the car. Cant beat that price! With those zippers, I would not bank on it being waterproof though.
ОтветитьJust ordered!
ОтветитьPerfect bag and even better price. Thanks for finding it.
ОтветитьI REALLY like this. I may order one. I do have a small leather backpack that I use. It’s probably about the same size, maybe an inch or so bigger. I was wondering though, let’s say I wanted to carry 2 tobaccos, maybe 3. Is carrying a little tobacco in a small storage bag, like Ziploc, reasonably safe and how long, about, would the tobacco stay at it’s moisture level...? Looking at the vid, pipe cleaners will fit standing up in my bag.
ОтветитьHey muttonchop I very much enjoyed the videos you have on your channel but I have one question. What is the type of lighter that you are using and is it your favorite? If it is your favorite please tell us why.
ОтветитьFound a fannypack that I used to hold money in when I did the craft fairs so I've utilised it as a day pack for my pipe I've popped a video on for you to have a look at 👍 thanks for the inspiration.
ОтветитьOne more question Professor Piper. My current tobacco bag is a little too long for the pouch, where did you get yours?
Ответитьi usually keep mine in my inner jacket pocket
ОтветитьI was able to pick up a leather pouch at a Renaissance faire which perfectly holds my pipe gear and blends in with the Renaissance theme.
Ответитьi have 2 already exact same...even before watching the vedio 😃
Ответитьfunny, i'm using the same pouch since i bought my first pipe
ОтветитьI really like you about not using fancy expensive pipe accesories, but focus on more about practical ones!
ОтветитьWhere can I get one of those little tabbaco pouches?
ОтветитьWarning... pouch is 9.99 but shipping is 10.95 and I ordered one too :)
Ответитьr u going to the fair this year? ill be there the 17th
ОтветитьDo you really need two dozen pipe cleaners for a day trip?
ОтветитьGreetings from the uk. Great video as always. could I just ask what pipe that is, would love one like that. All the very best... Trev.
ОтветитьThose straps aren't for your belt, Muttonchops. Those are for MOLLE.
ОтветитьToo funny! I got a similar pouch a couple of weeks ago on amazon for about $6 to attach to the belt as I go about me day. It is also brilliant for when I go hiking which I do fairly often. Great minds think alike.
ОтветитьI have the same exact pouch in CP Camo that I originally bought to carry enough fly fishing gear for a quick trip to the river. I outgrew it for that purpose because I like to carry toooo much stuff on the river. I now use it as my "pipe tote". It's literally perfect for it. When I saw your review, I said to my self, "Now that's a smart and resourceful dude, just like me". Lol. Got mine on EBay for about $5 a couple of years ago. Happy smokes!
ОтветитьWho’s such an addict that you must NEVER be anywhere without a pipe?
ОтветитьA military man...
ОтветитьJust 10! I was ripped off...paid 25 for something similar (used for fly fishing) but for a quick puff not a bad idea. Thanks.
ОтветитьGreat , I've got one similar to that , I'm just going to route it out , I used it for a camera , but now I have another use . Thank you 😊
Ответить$25.00 for the UK.
ОтветитьWhat an awesome idea. I have one of these maxpedition pouches already 👍
ОтветитьOne of my recommendations is putting link to products.
ОтветитьChris, What pipe is that in this video? I really like it.
ОтветитьAwesome!
ОтветитьFor those who prefer wooden matches over lighters, here's a little something you may want to know about... Marbles makes a great little metal match carrier; one of those screw down metal cylinders. You can fit either standard size wooden matches or the smaller variety. Here's the great thing: the outside of the little tube is textured. If you get strike anywhere matches, you can easily light them using that texture on the case. And, they're inexpensive - Around $5 or $6. I got mine from Smokey Mountain Knife Works.
ОтветитьMasterpiece! Always helpful Muttonchop!
ОтветитьThese are known as EDC (Every Day Carry) pouches.
ОтветитьThese are great to have. The listed site doesn't work anymore. These are available online though from other sellers.
