ОтветитьLead is good for u
ОтветитьGreat vid, who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks! I've been plumbing for 20 years, but I must say this vid has been very refreshing. 23 was classic hehe.
ОтветитьThank you so much for the time an effort that you put into making this video.
I know nothing about plumbing but after watching the clip helped me out so much.
Thank you.
I totally hate solder fittings ..and there dangerous to work with ...no 🔥 required with compression or push fit plus they can be taken apart.
ОтветитьAbsolutely the best, most informative plumbing / soldering hacks video out there. Succinct and to the point. Clearly spoken without any unnecessary dribble (unlike my comment). Most I already knew or had similar tricks... but aluminum plate!, and indirect heating the inside of the pipe!! Cool .
Cant say it loud enough. Have a stay bottle with you always!!!!! It will someday ( if you work in old dusty houses) save your job, the house, and possibly a life... Wet It First! SOAK IT!!
loved the video. Nicely done!
That was great! I just soldered my union by accidentally getting solder on the nut and pipe... wish I'd have known about the Teflon tape idea.
ОтветитьInterested in knowing how leaving burr creates a pin hole
ОтветитьSorry but this is dumb it's all common sense
ОтветитьGreat videos and tips, thanks for making and posting!!
ОтветитьThis was dope! Thanks !!
ОтветитьThe sand paper gets hard to use and is tiring.
… look out! Manly man coming through
Hvac guy here…not sure if it’s been said or not but if you have a out of shape copper pipe you can stick a pair of needle nose pliers in the end of the pipe and ream it to the original shape very easily
ОтветитьNumber 8 - a good way to ensure you don't use too much solder is to use the same length of solder as the diameter of the pipe in mm. So for 15mm diameter pipe, use 15mm of solder. How do you know if you've used 15mm of solder? Well just bend the solder at a right angle at the 15mm point before use. Often the jaws of pliers are approximately 15 mm wide, so use them to bend the solder. quick and easy.
ОтветитьAwesome!! Thank u for this!!!
ОтветитьLove the look of soldered copper. Thanks for the tips!
ОтветитьDoctor Dre would love this "NWA" musically inspired plumbing video. To the Dre beat ya"ll
ОтветитьGreat video saved me from cutting pipe. I accidentally pressed with grippers too strong and bended it .Thank you for your video.
ОтветитьMy uncle showed me the bread trick over 60 years ago when I was about 10. I used it years later and it worked perfectly.
ОтветитьI’ve done My share of soldering pipe & fittings as well as a lot of other peoples’ shares. The tape measure technique is one I wish I’d thought of back in the day before I retired from the HVAC trade.
Wrapping the teflon tape from the outer toward the inner fitting threads is more effective than wrapping from the inner toward outer fitting threads because the first 2 threads make the seal on threaded joints.
I came to confirm the adjustable wrecnh trick to make out-of-round copper round again (#14). Enjoyed the rest. This is a must-have list for beginners! Thank you.
ОтветитьThe bread thing can be very bad. People have died from the bread getting contaminated in the pipe.
ОтветитьB.s. shark bite will put plumbers out of business for basic repairs. And Pex will out the nail in their coffin. Btw, hate plumbers and the cost associated with them.
Ответитьan excellent collection of life hacks! the whole speech is presented in the standard english -- easy to listen to.
thank you very much for the video.
I don't ever intend to solder, but these were great tips!
Ответитьwon't crimping the pipe cause turbulence?
ОтветитьTy for the video.
I thought rapidly cooling a brazed joint is bad but to quickly cool a soldered joint increases strength. Yea nah?
Super tips. For #23, I learned from an older plumber to use a straw and just blow out the residual water. Just need a drinking straw! So easy to do!
ОтветитьThanks for this!
ОтветитьI knew you were from Quebec 😂
ОтветитьThis is such a great channel!
ОтветитьHow does a burr on the end of a pipe lead to a pinhole leak in the middle of one!???????
ОтветитьHow do you keep debris out of piping when deburring?
ОтветитьSoldering, not soddering 😅
ОтветитьMan, this video is gold. So many great tips. Thanks
ОтветитьHow do you prevent water from spraying out of the pipes when cutting out a water softener? I've noticed with the water off it will still do it
ОтветитьI’m an electrician having to plumbing in copper pipes, this is due to us having to use a solid fuel Rayburn I can confirm….
I’m loosing my shit with plumbing 😂😂
This is the very best Channel on plumbing.
No need to look further.
I have saved thousands of dollar's in plumbing cost by watching and learning from this channel.
I was definitely hesitant at first however after watching close and educating myself I have become very confident on all the jobs around my home.
I'm confident that all the work I've done is solid and I have no worries.
I came across this channel after watching at least 25 other channels which couldn't come close to teaching me what Ive learned from this one.
I guarantee if you want to do the work on your own this is going to be the go to channel.
💥🎯🇨🇦💥
I liked the pencil counter-wrapped with Teflon tape for tight areas. You showed it but it was a hidden tip.
Thanks
I have the best tip use Pro press!
ОтветитьExcellent tips man thank you! I Definitely prefer scotch bright like you said over Emery cloth.
ОтветитьBut but but but….. When Deburring do not let the pieces fall down into the pipe!
ОтветитьI have nothing to do with plumbing, but I watched the entire video. Why? Because of the presentation. He gets directly to the point, he is clear and concise. There is none of the blah blah blah in front of the camera and endless self-promotion. Very professional job. Congrats and thanks!
ОтветитьGreat video and great information
ОтветитьNicely done vid and very informative, tks!
ОтветитьSolder - UK sounds weird.
ОтветитьLike the silent" P" in bath.
