I have the same stove since I moved in my house back in 1986. It was my father's he had at his job.
ОтветитьLove your plug for the Library!! My daughter is a librarian. GREAT RESOURCE!!
ОтветитьTRY POOPI
ОтветитьGreat tips thank you! And water bottles! We also just use our lovely brita
ОтветитьJust subscribed to your channel, WOW! I love your energy and wisdom on minimalism. I am a 2x breast cancer survivor and am not going to throw that away; eating healthier, much healthier this year; thanks for the ideas on everything in this video. Can't wait to go back and watch your previous videos ❤❤
ОтветитьI disagree with you on the first one, only because I’ve been decluttering and organizing every area of my life for the last year and in those areas that I Decluttered and organized, they have stayed that way with no additional things bought
ОтветитьHearing you say you want to bike 2,500 miles and the screen saying 25,000, my brain went into panic for you. Love the goal setting!
ОтветитьSpeaking of gut health-- you shouldn't buy red meat, period. Bad for your health, really bad for the environment (and of course, terrible for the animals)!
ОтветитьSo happy you said NO to Temu & Shein. They are from China, who is trying to destroy the USA!
ОтветитьMy friends husband works for our local gas company. He does house calls and said that the worst thing you could do for your home is light candles! It’s so bad for your furnace and duct system.
ОтветитьI’m to the point where I basically want to buy nothing unless I’m replacing something that is completely worn out/used up. I really got into couponing/bargain hunting this year, and I am stocked up on so many essentials like shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, feminine products, etc. I have way too many clothes. I live in a very small space, and I just don’t have any more room for anything extra. My 2025 is going to be spent selling and giving away stuff.
Ответить❤ I don’t believe you when you say you won’t buy beef. You are going to find a deal and not be able to resist 😂
ОтветитьSo glad to know it's not just my teen boys who never return the dryer balls!
ОтветитьGreat video overall but had to do a thumbs up just for the quick clip from See No Evil, Hear No Evil. 😂
ОтветитьA few years ago I stopped buying basically everything but food and gardening stuff like seeds. I think at this point in our lives we’ve got enough stuff to last forever. My big popcorn bowl broke two years ago and my knee jerk reaction was to say I needed to go buy a new one, but then I remembered I’m not doing that and I use one of my other 3,498 bowls to hold popcorn. If that one breaks, I’ll throw it out and use one of the remaining 3,497 bowls in my house. By the time I die, I should be down to just the stuff I should’ve only had all along. I’m so sick of spending money.
ОтветитьI’m going to start downsizing on groceries. There’s things I don’t need to buy in bulk. If I don’t have a plan for it, good deal or not, it’s not going to take up space in the pantry/ freezer.
ОтветитьI don't use dryer sheets or sent beads either!! Dont have temu, Amazon or sheen ect.
ОтветитьIf you have dangle earrings I'll take em! 💜 That's one of the only ways I accessorize! I love fun dangle earrings 😢 but I'm going into a Low Spend 2025. My goal is to buy the least amount possible for the whole year. I'll really double check before I buy anything! I joined some free/trade local Facebook pages and will look to get things secondhand if I have to purchase something before I get it new! We all need to do low spend 2025! Big businesses will cry but our wallets will be sooo thick!
ОтветитьIs it possible to get distilled water without buying in in a gallon jug? We have medical equipment that needs distilled and goes through a LOT of water.
ОтветитьI'm not denying that organization bins can be silly at times.. BuT at other times they are great.. so I buy them at goodwill.. and if I have too many after further organizing, then just give back to goodwill.
ОтветитьCan’t imagine not having dryer sheets. Static cling is a thing.
Ответитьstop with the ads
ОтветитьYes!! The library is something that you already pay for in taxes, so why not use it. I watch booktoks for recommendations, and can't believe all of the books on their shelves.
ОтветитьHi Christine, I haven't made a list of what I'm not going to buy but I'm going to make an attempt to use everything that I've had had for more than a year that is open like condiments on my fridge door to which I have tons of. Odds and ends in the freezer and snacks and anything open in the pantry. It's a process but the goal is to not buy any of what I already have open until it all gets used up. I did it in the past and it worked wonders so doing it again. Wish me luck🤞
ОтветитьI love your videos. I recently listened to Anna Karenina on Everand and really enjoyed it. Happy reading!
ОтветитьAnna Karenina takes forever! Be prepared to have every, EVERY, detail of the environment shoved into your brain!
ОтветитьDiamonds don’t scratch! They will however cut glass! 🤷♀️
ОтветитьYou’re awesome !
ОтветитьI’m sooo excited to watch your content with more from scratch cooking! That’s how I cook so it’s great for more ideas!!
Also, if you want to deep dive on health, look into all the seed oils and how bad they are for your health!!

I have a blanket situation. Should we start a group!
ОтветитьDry sheets also leave a coating on lint trap causing a fire hazard
ОтветитьAgree with the mac and cheese
ОтветитьMy mom bought me a set of Revere Ware pots & pans I know 30-35 yrs ago & they are still like brand new. I too still use Corning ware that I bought used years ago.
ОтветитьAnna Karenina is great! 👍
ОтветитьScent beads and air fresheners, yuck! I never buy those things.
ОтветитьI was with you for everything but the scented candles. I will hold on to those as tightly as I do to the Oxford comma. 😂
ОтветитьAnna Karenina ✅. Mostly use the cast iron skillet from my wedding shower 48 years ago and a small one handed down when Gramma passed. I also have a nice stainless steel set i found like new at Goodwill. I'll need new weight lifting shoes in 2025. Things I love but definitely can't justify more of: hats and scarves. ❤
ОтветитьIf you buy a menstrual cup, disc, and/or period underwear they cost a bit up front, however cups and discs last for 10 years (depending on the brand) and period underwear last a long time as well and are more sustainable. Saalt is a very good company. You save more than $100 a year. I donated the FHP I had to a women's shelter.
ОтветитьI am going to do my best to avoid foods with preservatives in them. My husband is not part of this, he loves his twinkies and I am not his mom, but I am concerned about my gut health as I have a lot of autoimmune issues. I cook from scratch as much as I can. We rarely eat out. I think we could live on what food we have right now for 6 months or more.
ОтветитьI am a new subscriber... as a librarian, I so appreciate you always plugging the local library. You are a library champion and we appreciate people like you ❤❤❤
ОтветитьNo towels we have plenty, no handsoap and no salt.
ОтветитьSo excited you are eliminating scented candles and some of the ultra processed foods like Mac n cheese and ramen!!!
ОтветитьScented candles are definitely not good for you. The scents are filled with toxins. I like to diffuse good quality essential oils. I also use a drop or two of essentials oils on dryer balls in place of dryer sheets. Also, a ball of aluminum foil works to get the static out. Washing soda gets smells out of clothes and brightens them. I don’t like using bleach which is harsh on clothing. Vinegar is also great to use in the wash.
In 2026, I vow not to buy gadgets from Amazon. Amazon makes it too easy to shop. Also, I won’t be buying any more throw pillows from IKEA and body soap.
To keep track of what I have, I take inventory and write down. I placed this list on the inside of the door of whatever I inventory. This helps to keep me organized and not buying more of something I already own.
My community was devastated by back to back hurricanes. Fortunately my home was spared but I left and I have been staying with family in another state for 3 months. I realize how very little I need. When I do return home I will do a massive purge of household and personal items. I just don’t want it.
ОтветитьHahahaha you will still buy beef
ОтветитьPlease do a ground beef recipe marathon video. In 2025 I plan on using my pantry up and rotate the stock better.
ОтветитьI'm reading "Karenina" right now! I read it 20y ago and now again. Btw, an e-version on Ama... costs just 20 cents.
ОтветитьLibrary card in iceland is $21 per year
