I just took the hunter safety course here in PA. In PA, it is illegal to stalk a turkey for this very reason.

If a hunter can't see the turkey clearly he has no reason to shoot. Hens are not to be shot in the spring anyway. This was careless and criminal. He should never be allowed to hunt again.

That's one thing that scares the crap out of me, when I first got in to turkey hunting back in 1980 i had 2 younger guys sneak up on me because they were following the yelp of the hen turkey. Yes, in Pennsylvania you are not allowed to stalk turkey calling.....but it happens. Keep these people in your prayers.

I turkey hunt, you don't shoot unless you see turkey. You'd have to be a moron to shoot another hunter.
