DJI Air 3 Review After One Month Of Flying

Great review, as always! Was that a tree on that boat, lol.

I sold my Mavic 3 Pro for the Air 3 for the MUCH better vehicle tracking. I loved the Hasselblad camera, but the cameras on the Air 3 are still exceptional. 👍

The good :
- Same sensors for the 2 cameras.
- Same color profile (M log, not a true log, but anyway...)
The Bad :
- Not 1 inch sensors.
- So much oversharpening!! Like mobile's movies...

Great videom, with the new updates to the mavic 3 classic such as vision and home point and return in your opion is it better to purchase the mavic 3 $50 more for the classic instead of the air 3?

Love the air 3 over my air 2s EXCEPT the photo quality. I feel like the photos coming out of it remind me of a cell phone photo, no mater if it’s RAW, or 12 or 48. Very disappointing from a photographer standpoint.

First off...fantastic scenery...boy are you going to be disappointed when you get back to Southern Ontario!! If you have nothing holding you back like you mentioned in previous videos...just say out there Shawn. Great review...won't be buying it myself as I'm happy with my Mini 3pro/Mavic 3...may keep that combo til the 5's of the drones come out...

I agree with most of your points here, and I love the Air 3, and have been flying it more than any of my other drones since it arrived. But I still like the Mavic better for taking photos. Great review, thanks for sharing Shawn.

Bough it as soon as it came out. They should’ve included the nd filter set and charger at this price point. AND they should at least make a split ND since we have 2 cameras with different apertures.

Very weak video quality, oversharpned like in smartphone, and there is something wrong with still images, nah, i thought that I swap becouse of tele camera but i will stay with mavic 3 classic. Thank you for review

Brother I must say that your older desk reviews were very good but you getting out there and connecting with real life environments is a game changer. Would you pick this airframe over a Mini 4 Pro?

Agreed the video is great and cameras ok. But stills are crap. I am a photographer and was so disappointed I sent back the first Air3 I had. The noise and chromatic aberration were so bad I had to buy third party software to handle the crap in the images. Photoshop could not handle the noise without softening the image too much. DJI are aware of this and are trying to find a solution. So as long you don't want clean images at 100iso go for it.

Your footage is incredible, is that all native DV? And any filters there?

I think I want this drone snd an autel also.

The one thing that sucks about the RC-2 controller is not being able to swap the ascend/descend controls. I am so used to “pulling back” on my Air2s to ascend that I’ve almost crashed several times flying the Air 3. I hope they update that otherwise it’s a great drone.

You've been my Guru from the other side of the globe for a few years now and I make it a habit to go through your reviews before I buy any action cameras or drones. The footage you've shown here is fantastic!! I bought the Mini 4 Pro and have the Air 2S but am loving the Air 3 now! With Pocket 3 and Mic 2 getting released soon, I'm all out for DJI this year, not to forget the Action 4!! 🙂

Bought the Air 3 a week after release. It is now my daily flyer. The 70mm lens is a total game changer, and the battery life and occusync 4 make this a hands down winner over my new backup, my Air2s. I like this one better than my Mavic 2 Pro, but I do miss the variable aperture. This drone is money for the cost. Well worth the fly more package. The battery system is the best I have seen from DJI to date. Good review! I concur. This is a solid AF drone for anyone who isn't sporting the kind of jack to get a Mavic 3 Pro Cine.

So I just got my part 107 certification with the FAA and I want my first drone to be reliable enough to last me for some time, but also I want to engage in as many job opportunities that a drone can provide. I’m a real estate photographer and I love this drone. I edit all of my own pics and I can tell you there’s a big difference in pic sharpness doing photos. The video is amazing.

Hassleblad on dji is just hassleblad stamped on it. It's made at dji. There's no difference between air 3 and mavic 3. Mavic 3 pro has a higher zoom on the pro but they r the same thing like gmc to chevrolet fire bird to camaro
