Oscar doesn't deserve this movie

The only way this movie could have gained "greatest of all time" status is if they could have twisted it at the end with something that showed the boy was guilty after they all voted not guilty. That would have been the cherry on the cake. It's the way I would have made the film.

So I give it a solid 8/10. Well worth watching but it's missing the golden twist.

Simply, The best movie ever made.

A master piece. No remake will match this perfection.

We had to watch this movie in English class. I was the only one who watched it the others couldn’t bare watching a film without color.
They definitely lost one great life lesson.

Watched this movie for the first time in an English Comp 1 class at my community college in the Fall of 2012. Can't remember what the assignment was that went along with it, but I do remember what a great film it was!

Totally underrated classic. I show it regularly to my high school students in the psychology class because of the depictions of group processes here (group think, conformity etc.)

This movie perfectly shows human negligent towards other people. One person’s life can mean nothing to another one. The movie emphasises how reasoning is important in any situation and sometimes things are not as they seem to be on the surface.

One of my all time favorite movies. I remember watching this when I was a sophomore back in 2000 in my English II class and was absolutely blown away by how great this movie is. Then as a class, our teacher assigned us the parts to us students to read aloud from the book as well.

Hindi movie adaption is 'ek ruka hua faisla', in actors Pankaj Kapoor, Anu Kapoor. That one is also well directed. I m big fan of the movie. Do watch if prefer bollywood movie...

When this film was released it was crazy, the movie theaters were lined up and lined up, it was impressive to the core, not to mention that there will never be a remake that can compare.

I've admired this movie for a long time, but this is the first time I've seen this trailer...and I'm SO glad I saw the movie first!

This showed almost all of the most dramatic scenes...but without any of the context behind them.
It could only have made the movie a lot less impactful.

Just saw this in 2025 for the 1st time. The first thing that came to mind what how petrified that fellow Americans are determining others' fates. The stupidity and paranoia in this country is beyond belief. Many many people are not fit to serve on a jury IMHO.
