Samantha’s face reminds me of me when I attended church in Catholic school!!! I was so uncomfortable and felt like a total fraud because although I’m a person of faith I always had questions!!
ОтветитьCarrie was such a shitty friend in this series. Walking with Miranda is one of the few scenes when she does the right thing.
ОтветитьThe last 10 minutes of this episode (Season 4, Ep. 8, "My Mother board, Myself") was probably some of the finest writing to ever come out of the series, two movies and the reboot on HBO Max. Each character in some way or another, had issues with death and had to figure out how to navigate the complex emotions that come with it (and yes, we all deal differently). When E! runs the SATC marathon of all six season's shows, this is the one I make sure I don't miss because it encapsulated friendships, life & death so beautifully ❤️!
ОтветитьYOU LOOK GREAT. lmaooo im samantha in an awkward situation
ОтветитьI think I really love Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte.
ОтветитьThey did bad by the series when they changed the caring guy for the emotionally abussive guy as the one who gets Carie at the end
ОтветитьI finally watched this clip since my mom died last month. The thought of Miranda never having an argument with her mother again certainly resonates with me. I will never have a conversation with mine ever again. I have thought of this episode a lot since then. Beautifully written episode and it certainly is one of the most heartfelt.
ОтветитьCarrie always had unusual hairstyles for weddings and funerals.
ОтветитьThe same thing ( call it instinct) that made Carrie a good writer,is what also made her "self involved".Having the ability to use language and employ a sense of humor seldom comes without a price that must be paid. Comedians are seldom 'adorable' off stage and remember these people perform a very important service...to make you think.
ОтветитьSamantha's dress is not appropriate for church but it's Fabulous anyway
ОтветитьCarrie is the worst but you have to admit she stepped up for Miranda
ОтветитьAm I the only person who laughed when Samantha started crying?
Ответитьpeople forgot how a goood frined carry is for all of them friends are not perfect and nobody's perfect
ОтветитьI’ve been in Miranda’s position. Walking alone behind my mother’s coffin while trying to stifle my sobs and not collapse to the floor in my grief. Carrie rushing to her side and gripping on to her, steadying her and soothing her makes me cry every time I see this episode. I wish I had a ‘Carrie’ when I needed it. I think it’s the most caring, loving thing Carrie ever did for one of her friends in the whole series with no thought for anything other than to support Miranda. It’s a beautiful moment.
ОтветитьI guess true fans read all comments here❤ What Carries said as the VO caught me off guard.
Now i understand what i didnt
Miranda and Samanthas relationship is so funny
ОтветитьMiranda and John were one of TVs greatest couples I used to ship them.
ОтветитьIm so sorry i know this was sad but every time I watch this episode i cackle at those flowers 😂
ОтветитьI did not know that Miranda's family was Catholic? In another episode, Miranda dates a Catholic guy, she gets upset that he showers right after having intercourse. Maybe he was a Virgo too!
ОтветитьThis is one o fmy favorite scenes from the show, and I think it is one of the best dipictions of best friendship
ОтветитьThis episode was fantastically written. I, foolishly think I am super headstrong like Miranda then have hyperventilated and started crying in real life, then had a loved one step in like Carrie and grab me. We should all be so lucky.
ОтветитьObviously many people see what they want to see. I personally felt sorry for Miranda. And I think Cynthia Nixon is much more underrated than Kim! (and people value that "crying" instead of mentioning the misplaced phrase "you look great"... anyway)..
ОтветитьThis is my favorite episode of the show.
ОтветитьWhat an excellent and skillfully written scene!
ОтветитьWhen Carrie rushed to support Miranda was my favorite moment.
ОтветитьHow do the writers, that wrote a perfect scene like this end up creating a terrible show like AJLT!!
How?
This scene is written, performed to perfection.
Samantha crying for Miranda´s grief instead of her mother´s death... it´s most realistic thing I´ve seen... sometimes friends just stood there beside you, feeling for you when you feel numb and then it hit us, we can cry, we can remain silent and stoic, it depends what your friend needs in the moment...
ОтветитьMy favourite episode ❤😊
I miss the time of waiting one week to be saturated with new stories
I recently went to a forever friend mother's wake and she said "I knew you'd come" and I responded with "why wouldn't I?" And she broke down in tears. It broke my heart.
Ответитьlove that Steve was there
ОтветитьI love the minister not “getting the family tree straight.” I can’t count the number of funerals I have attended when it was obvious that the priest or minister knew nothing about the deceased either.
ОтветитьIt is obvious the SATC production doesnt care much for the church or christian belief. Unfortunately.
ОтветитьBetsy looks so dead
ОтветитьI didn’t watch the series. What happened to Samantha?
ОтветитьThis scene has me balling today, the day after Thanksgiving 2023. Charlotte, Miranda and SAMANTHA made it.👏🏾
ОтветитьI miss this SATC where the girls supported each other and they didn't have shitty attitudes...OH sorry...except for Carrie hahaha
ОтветитьSamantha is so relatable <3
ОтветитьCharlotte "that's not one of the things I told you to say" 😆❤ ugh Miranda looking so lost and alone in that walk heartbreaking 💔
ОтветитьThose flowers were meant to say we’re sorry and we love you, not you’re dead let’s disco 😂
ОтветитьNever easy to lose someone and then have it made worse when someone text doesn’t even know you calls you by the wrong gender
ОтветитьSingle 35 year old woman is looking sad. Everyone needs a partner in life. Single people have a shorter life span. It has been proven by science and let’s not pretend it’s not true. Yes girlfriends can be a great emotional support but it’s not the same.
ОтветитьWhy couldn't one of her gurls be at her side. Im sorry carrie or Charlotte would have been appropriate. So she wouldn't be up there in her on
ОтветитьCharlotte is upset with Samantha for being inappropriate. Who goes up to a person grieving their mother and asks about the flowers? Clueless.
ОтветитьIt's funny how during the series they never talk about or show their parents. Charlotte mentioned them occasionally, but they weren't at either one of her weddings lol (at least weren't shown).
ОтветитьI love this episode because it’s one of the very few times in the series when we the viewers get any insight into the parents of these women. Is there ever any mention of Carrie, Charlotte or Samantha’s parents? Please remind me if there is. We watched Charlotte being walked down the aisle by , I suppose her dad when she married Trey. I often wondered why the girls never talked about the childhoods, their parents, their schooling in the diner where they often met. I think it would have added such depth to the characters. Even though it’s called SEX and the city, it was really about the relationships of the 4 friends. Did anyone else ever wonder about where they came from?
ОтветитьWe honestly needed more Samantha/Miranda moments. They were the best part of this show.
ОтветитьAmazing acting by Kim & Cynthia!
This episode always moves me to tears! 😢🤧
Samantha did kind of confuse me when it came to social norms- she never seemed to grasp them, and then I wonder whether Maria diagnosing her with intimacy issues was correct
ОтветитьMy dad died very early in the morning after a lengthy battle with cancer and when I got home at 9:30am with no idea what to do, I got into bed and watched this episode. Hadn't seen this show in years. But it was exactly what I needed in that moment. And I will always be grateful for that memory in the unspeakably bizarre first few hours without my dad.
