I've watched you off and on for a few years. It's fun seeing you back in the city again after a long time at the beach! I don't comment much, but since there were zero comments, I just thought I'd be the first to say, great job, enjoyed watching. I like how loose you paint and how easy you make it look! Sorry I can't afford to be a Patreon, but you certainly deserve it.
ОтветитьBeautiful as always Michael . I wonder if it would be possible for us Patreons to see how you finish the painting from where you ended the video before the reveal. The restraint you show in what to include and what not to include is masterful . Thank you as always
ОтветитьHappy Sunday, Michael. Terrific painting. Your city renderings remind of the cityscapes of Wayne Thiebald (but without the vertigo). Keep testing yourself and showing your process.
ОтветитьI enjoy watching you paint and how you share your process. It's very inspirational and I love your work, especially the cityscapes.
ОтветитьAbsolutely gorgeous cityscape, Michael!!!!
ОтветитьReally appreciate you sharing what colors and brushes you're using while working - I learn so much from your videos! The finished piece is so serene.
ОтветитьYou’ve mastered the illusion of depth with atmospheric perspective! Beautiful colors. Love this.
ОтветитьLove it when you paint cityscapes 😊
ОтветитьNice!
ОтветитьThe streets of San Francisco always show something new 🔝
ОтветитьChallenging scene, great job
ОтветитьI love it! My one suggestion is to lower the mountain on the left so that the mountain/sky line can cross below the bridge cables. I think that would improve the separation/depth.
ОтветитьYou are on a roll!
ОтветитьHey Michael, if I may ask- Are you a Trump supporter? 🙏
Great video/painting by the way!
Good morning Michael
ОтветитьLove the colour of the buildings in your painting.
Ответитьlovely process
very harmonious colourìng, freely translated from reality, but not dictated and narrowed down by it: instead, yóur colors are very much determined by what's needed in the painting itself... towards a harmonious unity .
Simply lovely...
Keep on doing what you're doing Mike
Amazing as always - how you sort it all out and produce a great painting.
ОтветитьWhen was the last time you used black on your pallet? I know many impressionists abhorred black in their landscapes, but it has its uses in portraits and stilllives based indoors…
ОтветитьLove your city scapes.Memories of the matchbook homes are romantic too.
ОтветитьBeautiful.
ОтветитьYour SF paintings are always so exhilarating - love them thank you.
ОтветитьNice
ОтветитьI always look forward to Sunday afternoon watching your newest marvel.
I am learning so much from you, not only shapes, values, composition, brush strokes, but the heart of a painting in the artist .
Today, I felt like my lesson was just keep plugging away. Just keep at it.
I am doing some kind of painting almost every day now. Consistency has been such a struggle for me.
Watching you for a while now, beginning to see how dedicated you are to the process. Ups, downs and all arounds, just keep at it. That's what my new motto is.
The Winston Churchill quote comes to mind, about never giving up and not fearing fear.
And it pays off.
I struggle with buildings and needed this extra study.
I Love that you included the bridge, the reminder that distant things are duller in value. These basic things I forget sometimes.
Delightfull❤
Wow, well done, difficult subject matter but you got the atmosphere just right , reads beautifully
ОтветитьTurned out amazing, I am learning so much thank you.
ОтветитьI like how you can distill the scene so effectively. Would you say your paintings have become a bit more abstract over time? I really like the effect.
ОтветитьA beautiful painting! Well done.
Ответитьyour videos are real classes of painting, i love to watch 💌
ОтветитьLove how the van ran the stop 🛑 sign up behind you while your back was to it.
ОтветитьThats my hood! Love what you make out of it!
ОтветитьHi Michael. Do you use a glass palette in your palette box? Thanks for the great videos as always.
ОтветитьExcellent
ОтветитьThank you, an insightful and helpful watch ❤
ОтветитьI love your approach on the cars and trees!
ОтветитьI just love your bold approach as you block in your composition. Keep going
ОтветитьYour videos get "best in show" - the camera work/placement, the narrative, the choice to show and discuss palette from time to time, the progression from blank canvas to painting and the editing choices - always interesting and satisfying to watch. Thanks so much!
ОтветитьAnother beauty! Love your street paintings! And of course your seascapes!
ОтветитьLove your videos. It's like seeing able to just join an artist plen air. Thank you so much
ОтветитьWhouah it’s great !!!
ОтветитьWhen NYC had its earth quake did San Francisco feel any murmurs?
ОтветитьNice
ОтветитьWhen you first started this painting I thought "Nah, no way -" Then you brought order and beauty out of chaos. Love the colors.
ОтветитьLove this one! The way you pulled out some details yet kept things rather indistinct is wonderful, as are the hues you chose. I’m new to your channel and am very much enjoying your work and the info you provide re how you approach oil painting. So thanks!
