in fz300 do we have multi system option, or pal and ntsc have separate model?

i've recently bought a fz200, it's at 300 euro on amazon

I don't really care for the lack of 4k since my laptop cannot even play those kind of files

is it normal that avchd videos look blurry on my pc?

Excellent test, Graham. I too think that in some cases the fz200 produced better photos, better contrasted, sharp and clean. Although fz300 also works very well. Personally I prefer the difierencia fz1000 and is only 75 e. Fz300 600 and / fz1000 675 e.

Thanks for another comprehensice review Graham.
FZ330 appearst o have impressive stats and image stabilisation.
But images appear softer than the FZ200.
Look forward to further reviews from you, before making up my mind ;)
Keep up the great work !

Fz200 wins over Fz300 on 1080p video mode; On 4k, Panasonic LX100 is best over fz300.
Only thing i liked, is hdmi clean output.

There seems to be an excessive amount of wind noise on the Fz300. I was about to replace my Fz150 but now I am not so sure.

Out of curiosity I compared the shot Fz200 HD .... and Fz300 is noisy compared to Fz200 ( in noise persists for each mode ) ... of course you can see the clinelike D to increase in noise ... although the picture seems less realistic .... relative to Fz200

I agree with George, the 1080p video looks as if the FZ200 has more rsolution than the FZ330, the FZ330 internal microphone sounds as if it off mic, i.e sounds hollow, less depth, as for the 5 axis stabilisation, not a noticeable difference, good old FZ200 still performs well

Welcome Graham: When I checked the options Full HD on Fz300 and Fz200 .... you can see the image at
100% is harder
noisy at Fz300 --- I decided to give on a program to sharpen the playback options: it gave good
effect for Fz200 .. surprisingly Fz300 also improved and if the ratio was before sharpening ..efekt
Fz300 clearer on what paid off ... that a lot has approached Focus FZ200 ... after such treatment
It can be considered that if there is no significant difference between Fz200 and Fz300 ... (has also
been improved quite well and
4k on Fz300) .. think so with not enough of the noise irritant caused a Fz300 is not accurate
processing (this can improve in some version>)
It is worth to video editing programs to give more balanced sharpening options ... the effects are
strongly significant on Fz300 !!!

I have minimal interest in photos and want to shoot lots of events and action / sports / armature film

Or something else, price difference is minimal it seems.

I have compared the technical specifications of the DMC-FZ330 (UK) with the DMC-FZ300 offered on their German website. I have compared the technical specifications of both cameras (according to their website) and found the following differences:

The DMC-FZ330 lists the following capabilities, missing on the FZ300 offered in Germany:

Continuous recordable time (motion pictures) AVCHD FHD/50p: Approx. 170 min (rear monitor), 165 min (LVF)/FHD/50i: Approx. 175 min (rear monitor), 170 min (LVF)

MP4 4K/25p: Approx. 135 min (rear monitor), 130 min (LVF)/FHD/50p: Approx. 170 min (rear monitor), 165 min (LVF)

Actual recordable time (motion pictures) AVCHD FHD/50p: Approx. 85 min (rear monitor), 80 min (LVF)/FHD/50i: Approx. 85 min (rear monitor), 85 min (LVF)

MP4 4K/25p: Approx. 65 min (rear monitor), 65 min (LVF)/FHD/50p: Approx. 85 min (rear monitor), 80 min (LVF)

Although under notes, it is stated:

- Maximum time to record motion pictures continuously with [AVCHD] is 29 minutes 59 seconds.

NOTE - Maximum time to record motion pictures continuously with [MP4] in [4K] is 29 minutes 59 seconds.

NOTE - Maximum time to record motion pictures continuously with [MP4] in [FHD] [HD] [VGA] is 29 minutes 59 seconds or up to 4 GB.

This is confusing, either you are able to continuously record video for up to 175 minutes, or you are limited to just under 30 minutes. These statements are contradictory.

The DMC-FZ300 available in Germany is technically identical except that there are no claims for continuous recordings of 175 min. and there are more selectable languages (not important for me).

Both versions allow video recordings at 50p and 25p (unlike the US version of the DMC-FZ300 that records in 60p/30p).

Considering the DMC-FZ330 is usually considerably more expensive than the DMC-FZ300 offered in Germany, it is important for me to understand the differences, particularly if the UK model really can allow continuous recording beyond 30 minutes.

Could you please tell me if the FZ330, can record video longer than 30 minutes, as that seems to be the deciding factor?

I ordered the FX200 because I don't really need the extra bells and whistles (wifi, gps, etc) and it was almost $250 less than the FX300.
The problem with buying cameras these days is, you never know if you picked the best one for yourself. Also the prices change so quickly that I hate to go look at the new price a day or so later and seeing how much extra money I spent.

How come people don't get a dedicated video camera for making movies? I have to believe that a dedicated video camera that is engineered to make movies will make better videos than a camera designed for taking still shots.

I used my FZ200 for the first time this morning.
On the negative side, the zoom seems to only have one speed instead of variable speed based on how hard you push the zoom lever. This is fine for me since I will only be taking stills. Once or twice I over zoomed a smidge and had to zoom back out.
It is hard not to bump the directional wheel when holding the camera with one hand. It is something I will have to remember not to do, to be careful how I grip the camera.
The pictures in full automatic are very average. So average that I thought this camera was over priced; that was before using a manual setting.
Using the zoom to take a picture of a bird far away (200 feet or so) does not yield great pictures. The sweet spot for me taking bird pictures is about 75 feet or closer, the closer the better. The zoomed lens at these shorter distances brings out the detail I wanted and the reason I bought this camera.
Now for the positives. When I shot in P mode with the picture attributes set like Graham said, the pictures are wonderful. I use a little more saturation because I like the more vivid colors. The zoom size of the image seems to be half the size of what my camcorder yields at the same zoom power but the pictures are more densely packed so when looking at the pictures at 100% on my computer, the image quality is still very good. Cropping the picture enlarges the subject (birds in my case) to effectively have a very large zoom. I got some good pictures this morning.
In conclusion there is a lot more for me to learn and a lot more of Graham's videos for me to get through. I imagine the FZ1000 would yield even better results with it's large image sensor.

Movie has little interest for me with a bridge, I'm almost 1000% interested in image quality, accuracy of focussing between macro and reasonable use of a zoom. HOWEVER - your examples of images extracted from a burst are truly impressive.

Another very useful and well-structured upload. Many thanks.

Demonstrating ISO performances, it would be better to compare pixel-peeping zoomed-in images, instead of fullsize images where you can't see the differences.

Graham Houghton. Could you please give me your opinion. I need camera to record not very long consecutive video 5-10 minutes and split video bulk up to 1 hour+. mostly sport videos, individual workouts and some part of the games as well. I also need 120 fps in moments where recording shooing techniques or dribbling to simply spot little things in techniques that need to be addressed. I could not afford to buy 3k HD-pro camera at the moment and not sure if i even have need in do so. I considering 2 options at the moment fz 200 and fz 300, they both look very appealing to me besides less buttery life in fz 300. And fz 200 two hundred $ cheaper. If you need few more specific from me about how i will use it or where or else that make it easy for you decide I will gladly supply it. If you understand my question (English my second language) place your professional judgment about what model better fit my needs. Thank you for your time and expertise Valery.

FZ300: I found that video stabilization gets really sturdy if zoom is 51mm and below (you can force hand shake and it can hold the shakes very well), but above 51mm it's not very efficient. Tested with 5 axis stab ON and OFF, MP4 and AVCHD, FHD, HD, 4K, Level recording ON and OFF ... above 51mm there is no huge difference. Firmware v2.2. Bug or "that's live" ?? Oh well ...
