Scholar would mainly be for collectionists (upcoming logbooks) as the chance is clearly lower than told, so you would not have to kill a boss 60 times, that not only me if not other people too had to get both bosses from the 60 pity kill

Imo, this skill tree WILL be DESTRUCTIVE to the game, ESPECIALLY how you cant refund them all.

I think Wikia being mad for the Scholar skill is because it's useless to him
he already spent god knows how much time getting all of them.

Might be useless, but you have to collect them all Wikia, collect them all. Max out scholar trust your 150k coins will be gone

To get 1.6m coins you need to play tds for 25 days non stop or 600 hours and. A normal person plays tds for 30 minutes to 2 hours so you will need 1200 days-300 days depending on your playtime

Ah yes, let’s add the skill tree and make it prohibitively expensive so that players can’t max them out and waste their hard-earned savings month after month with just a couple of taps, leaving them broke as hell and forcing them to grind for more coins so we can increase the population. Very nice logic, mate. I mean, who thought this would be a good idea? This game has billions of visits, and the developers can’t even consider balance, changes, and everything that comes with new players? Imagine you’re new to the game and you see crates, consumables, towers, endless grinding, gems, and everything that’s money-related; they wouldn’t even play the game and would quit without ever looking at it again! What is this nonsense, mate! Just because of a more puny of playtime so your bloody game can get more popular? This is outright selfishness, if you don't even think about your player base and what would come with the update, they had taken their time, had thought every kind of alternative, but noo, they had to act in a rush.

Updates like this remind me of how much of a grindfest TDS (and honestly roblox in general) has become.

This update is genuinely horrible with it's insane grind needed and balancing, and I'd much rather spend my time playing another game or going outside for fun.

I’ve only realized after purchasing the skill tree that bandages directly hinders you from being able to do hidden wave (I know it’s been out for a while so it’s partly my fault for not even attempting it but still). Getting upgrades should not directly hinder players from being able to complete a challenge. They need a way to either disable ability, or refund them as now I’m unable to ever do hidden wave with this skill

I honestly thought that they would make skill tree depend on lv and coins not just coins

im not a big fan of the skill tree not just because it's 1.6M coins , but mainly because we never needed them to make the game easier

The whole system is just unbalanced. Flat boosts aren't the way to do a skill tree in a tower defense game.

Scholar being so bought just shows that the loggbooks droprates for bosses and event bosses are really bad

BUT, we have been getting hints of HC rework, and whether or not these buffs are gonna affect the HC gameplay, so they either made the game too easy for rich players and "force" new players to grind all the skill trees. TDS has gone from a strategy game to a true simulator game.

You'll need to play fallen mode 1600 times. Assuming you do 2-4 matches of successful fallen mode (roughly 2 hours if you're casual like me) per day, it'll take over 400-800 days to finish. Of course, quests also exist alongside the other hard gamemodes, but... yeah, not too ideal
