The boat used in this movie was my grandfathers boat, they paid him $300. for it, my grandparents loved the movie

I think what made it so great and suspenseful is the short glimpses of Jaws, allowing us to use our imagination.

I was 11 years old in the summer of '75 and saw Jaws twice...once in the theater and again at the drive-in. It was fascinating and terrifying at the same time.

Jaws was such an excellent movie. The soundtrack was incredible as well. I still joke about how people should have gotten out of the water when they heard the "Ba dum, ba dum, bad dum, womp womp womp wmp womp, ba da dummmmmmmm." I have it on 4K and it still looks amazing.

Absolutely classic film!..just a shame so many sharks died because of it tho..

My favorite shark movie of all time

Masshole born and raised in 1987. When we’d go stripper or blue fishing down the Cape, my dad told me nobody went swimming after Jaws came out in 75. He was 22 and he was iffy about it.

I was one of the first in line for the first showing on the opening Friday. It will always be in my top five. Btw I swam in the Atlantic six weeks later on vacation.

Oh wow! I can't wait to watch this. I was too young to see it when it was released, but I do remember seeing it in the early 80's. This film and Alien were my absolute favorites as a kid, and I still watch both of them today. Without George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, my childhood would have been very different, and not nearly as much fun.

I saw Jaws in the theater as a kid back in 1975 and 1976, then again in 1979 during its re-release and again in 1980 at a dollar theater. The Jaws soundtrack album was the first record album I ever owned which I got Christmas 1976. Still my favorite movie of all time.

I saw that movie in 1975. I was a swimmer, in the lake, the river, and the ocean EVERY DAY. BUT, that movie...that summer....it kept me worried all summer long!

One of my older sisters took my younger sister and me to the theater.. I laughed every time they covered their eyes! 😆
