Comparing this and showing the replay of one that beat it when there is snow on the ground, doesn’t seem like apples to apples.
ОтветитьI like the bible verses in the descriptions
ОтветитьI don’t think this should be seen as an indicator of a bad barrel. Daniel makes great quality stuff. I have thousands of rounds through their m4a1 and literally never a malfunction. 1-1.5 moa 10 round groups at 100 with the 77 grain black hills and a magnified eotech.
Small arms solutions has a good write up about barrels bursting and failure due to rapid firing. The military determined that at a high rate like this a government or m4 profile barrel will pretty consistently fail or rupture at 540 rounds or so. This is why the Socom barrel profile was developed to stretch out that failure point to around 900 rounds. The failure point is almost always the hottest part of the barrel kinda in between the chamber and gas block area. The colts that the army tested pretty reliably rupture near the 500 mark on full auto. I’m sure the geissele that did “better” on this test had a different profile barrel. Not a better barrel but different profile that’s thicker in this area about 4” in front of the chamber. The ticker the steel in this critical area the longer it takes to heat up to the failure point which is very consistent at around 1300 degrees. So, in reality both of the melted Daniel Defense rifles actually exceeded what the army saw from the military colt (per the article from small arms I think). If you can get it, pick up the Daniel defense Socom upper from brownells with Daniel’s heavy Socom profile barrel. I think it’s 799 now with the ris 2 rail. That should do what it’s designed for which is 900 ish rounds. I did plenty of contact drills in the USMC and I would’ve died if I had to carry 20 full mags on me. If I had fired these 20 mags in 3 minutes then I would’ve no longer been an asset to my team. Point is, I’m sure someone could hammer forge a barrel that’s 4 inches thick under the hand guard with an inconel gas tube etc and go thousands of rounds before failure (even the m249 is supposed to have a couple of barrel changes over 600 rounds and it’s heavy to carry). Everything is a trade off. All this said, I’m subscribing and I’d love to see you melt down different profiles. I just don’t think we should fault any manufacturer for their product doing almost literally exactly what it was designed to do. A centurion mid weight and a Socom or hbar profile would be interesting. Stay safe!
I don't buy the hype of most of these expensive AR platforms to run better.
ОтветитьProb took optics planet a year to ship that upper.
Ответитьawesome vid. sadly the DD did not hold up no better than budget rifles
Ответитьstay away from daniel deficiency just get a psa or radical.
ОтветитьDon't worry, Daniel Defense. No one spending their own money is going to treat their own rifle like this. This video is entertaining, but not really a knock on DD.
ОтветитьIwi Galil ace gen 2 556
ОтветитьAllmost 700 shots?
ОтветитьLove the scripture in the description!!
ОтветитьEvery time a DD bites the dust, an Angel gets its wings...
ОтветитьWhat would you recommend? Ddm4v7 or bcm recce ? And thank you for the content bro
ОтветитьShit man I just bought one from them 30 mins ago!!!!
ОтветитьI am still happy with my purchase!!!
ОтветитьSometimes, I wish I was born in America
ОтветитьI just ordered a ddm4v7 exclusive 16" this does make me question my purchase lol
ОтветитьWhat ammo blew it up?
ОтветитьIf I counted correctly that was 22 chips fired through that weapon that's very impressive
ОтветитьWould you send the rail from this burn down to the first subscriber who asked for? Asking for a friend
ОтветитьSo much for expensive Gucci branded barrels. I'll stick with PSA, and not care a whit.
ОтветитьThis hillbilly rules!!!!!! I just bought a DDR4 V7 Pro.
ОтветитьSurprised it gave out quite fast! The S&W even did better. Just ordered a DDM4 V7 as my 1st AR darn it :D
ОтветитьIts always ends up leaning to the right once you use it a bit 😂😂
ОтветитьWhy is there this idea that more expensive brands just magically makes things better? It's an A2 profile barrel, basically a pencil barrel in the areas where it gets the hottest. A DD made barrel isn’t going to do magically better
ОтветитьSo which ar has the highest round count before failure?
ОтветитьDamn man you’re a savage for this! Be careful out there and great video😂
ОтветитьWhat do Daniel Defense and Apple have in common? High price points.
ОтветитьPure stupidity and waste of good equipment.
ОтветитьLol.. "Best of the best" but fails before some half its price..
ОтветитьWhy in the heck do manufacturers still think Govt. Profile barrels are still good enough when there are some many better choices available?
ОтветитьI thought it was designed that the gas tube goes before the barrel
ОтветитьBCM all day!!!
ОтветитьHow does Americans Fix this Daniel M4 Gun?
ОтветитьHow many of the “top manufacturers” have any explanation for their early failures?
ОтветитьIs there any company bit m&p15 yet? 😅. By the way, Was that DD LW? Or goverment?

ОтветитьBut,but... cold hammer-forged barrels!

ОтветитьGood video brother, what brand of ar 15 would you recommend ?
ОтветитьWell well well…battle rifle they said
