ОтветитьIshak = Issac
Pasha = ruler/king
Sarai = beleive it or not a Motel for travelling people and business caravan s
Thus the word Caravan Serai, caravan ie a train of travellers. The rest areas were maintained by local rulers or by the larger empire with troops to guard, small bazar probably for travellers to restock for their next leg of the journey and a place for their animals and people to be in a secure place and rest and resupply with provisions for the journey ahead.
I hope some day I will go there.

ОтветитьWhat you see is the Kurdistan region of Turkey. Kurds lived there for thousands of years. That goes back to 5000 BC. Modern Turkey was called Anatolia that mostly comprised of Kurds, Armenians, Greeks and some other minorities. Turkish Seljuks invaded in 11 century and finally Ottomans started ruling in 14th Century.
ОтветитьVery informative n good effortes by you.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing your wonderful travels. watching from India
ОтветитьHi Guys Mount Ararat is where Noahs Ark landed
Its a must see
rumor has it that kim kardashian has a private mansion here. Its a place where she is free from media attention in a burqa.
ОтветитьGreat trip amazing. There is more interesting Turkey than Antalya
ОтветитьYou guys are living, most of us just existing
ОтветитьThis is all Armenian Christian land and the palace is originally a church
ОтветитьNice video, I hope you had fun.
You have actually been to a lot of historic places. Ahmed Xani, a big 17 century poet among kurds is said to have lived and died in Dogubeyazid.
A Kurdish uprising took place in Ararat in 1927.
Basically you have visited western Armenia and Kurdistan. You should visit Iraqi Kurdistan aswell, you would love it.
I wonder if you know what was originally covering the roof of these buildings or was there any roof.
ОтветитьVery nice - keep right on going
ОтветитьHighly interesting!
ОтветитьIf you have a chance please visit the Garden of Eden on Mount Masius on the Diyarbakir - Viransehr hiway!
ОтветитьThat's Mount Ararat. It's supposed to be the place where Noah's ark landed after the flooding described in the bible
