Have you ever thought about planting pussy willows to help dry up some if the water on your property? A friend of ours was getting rid of his. He gave us some of the pieces he trimmed off and I put them in a big bucket of water. After they had roots, we planted them. They helped get rid of our water problem and were so pretty!

Are the chicken houses in your for meat birds or layers? Occasionally the big layer houses will sell hens cheap. They usually only keep them until their first molt. Good deals on "ugly" hens.

My Dad made many things from scrape others tossed out. He made a couple of homemade (disc & plow) tools to pull behind a walk behind powerful 2 wheel garden tractor. He built an open box over the device to hold a big heavy rock that added weight allowing it to dig deeper into the ground. It worked. It was crude but creative & did it's job. Dad didn't have funds & he could build things to help meet our needs. We were grateful.
