In addition to the euphoria and addictive nature of alcohol, it also contains a lot of carbs. The rise in blood sugar can be somewhat reminiscent to her pre-surgery overeating.

They forced her which is not cool if she dont want to go then leave her alone. She went in her own eventually which is good but being forced in not cool at all. Did that family get help dlfie themselves as well? I would never talk to them again

We all have addictions. Some more severe than others.. your energy just gets focused from one addiction to another. Energy is not created nor destroyed, it’s transferred

I just found out that long term memory while intoxicated is not possible. That's why people who got wasted have no memory or recall about what happened. Very dangerous.

Bless her, she wasn’t ready to change and she felt pressured by her family.
If you have someone you love who has a problem with an addiction , as hard as it is you have to love them but sometimes you have to let them go if its reached a stage where you cant put up with their problems anymore and they aren’t willing to make the change. Remember to make a life change like this is a very difficult thing for them to go through.

Well yeah, if you only address the symptoms that are the addiction without addressing the underlying cause, somebody prone to addiction is just going to switch to something else to deal with whatever mental/life problems they're dulling the pain of by engaging in the addiction. The addiction is a coping mechanism for something deeper. We really need to destigmatize mental health in this country....it's getting better, but there are a lot of people suffering in silence.

as a person that has been overweight all her life, the high and euphoria you get after losing a lot of weight, the feeling of the validation of your existence and the inherent respect you get by just being slim is a huge shock.

being overweight all your life is so traumatizing
