My biggest issue with this kit is the 7 inch floor tom. I think it demerits what is otherwise a lovely drum kit and could be a brilliant contender for the gretsch catalina jazz or yamaha bop kits etc. I know this isn't meant for "jazz" music like those kits i mentioned, but so many people buy them for their compactness and just muffle and mic the kick.

That 10 inch kick seems great, and I'd nearly buy a club jam tomorrow of it came with a 14x12/13 inch floor tom.

I would love to make a snare out of that floor tom

cymbal holder should be for lefty drummer also and floor tom and snare off stands off bass drum ala yamaha hip gig

I have one of these in the light blue finish.
Here’s my tips…
Change all the heads to top quality ones of your choice, change the snare wires, add two nylon washers to each lug, use a Tama HP50 kick pedal (hits the centre of the drum), the spurs are too short for a riser, so this is the only way to get 💯 sound and bottom end from the kick drum….
Remove the bottom head from the floor tom, sounds much better, and more like a fat floor tom.
I went with Evans g2 on top of toms and g1 on bottom of 10” tom, and an emad on the kick, using the dampener, and a strip of felt on the Remo Ambassador on the reso, with a porthole in the middle.

How are you coping with your manic energy? I play drums...... does it help you? It's a lot better than testing fate 😁
