Of the two, most people prefer the 1990 Ferrari but I always found the 89 car much prettier. Love it!

If Ferrari had better reliability in 89, Nige was fighting for the championship.

I remember Mansell's overtaking of Senna here - I saw it at my grandmother's house and whooped a loud "Yes!" when it happened - it thus became a 'Family Tale' for a short while (my whoop, not the overtaking).

Poor Alex Caffi! Stellar qualifying, only to slip back in the race to seventh (and first of the non-points-scorers).

Ah, the start of Flavio Briatore's F1 tenure. I wonder if Benetton had any regrets about doing that for the next few years afterwards, at least......

I was at this race on a Page & Moy trip from the UK. The group I was with had seats in the stands opposite the pits. We had Mansell's Ferrari in front of us for th start. I don't recall having a TV screen to watch the action though.
