What LOW POROSITY Natural Hair Actually LOOKS Like!

Omg this is definitely my hair

my high porosity hair type watching this video lol. My hair soaks up everything but i still see beads of water i guess when my hair is soaked and no more water can be soaked up.

Please what products should I use

I use OGYX coconut milk conditioner with olive oil and it works wonders for me

How did you achieve your natural curls? I would love to have my hair look like this. I'm a low porosity hair type with thick hair. I've been using the crochet hair for this curl. But I would love to save money and achieve this look with my own hair. I haven't used a perm in over a year, just mostly crochet protective styles. How would I start?

Low porosity and working with thinner products is good to do

This is my hair. I couldn't follow this though. I saw you put the product on, then rinse, then twist, then in the next frame you were rinsed and put the caps on and got under the dryer. Then you rinsed and twisted AGAIN and then styled. Is there a specific order this was to be done in?

Idk I’m gonna play devils advocate bc I did a ton of research on different platforms and communities. This seems like medium porosity. Perhaps on the lower spectrum of medium but I don’t think it’s low porosity. From what I learned is that low porosity hair have a problem with oily hair l. They don’t have an issue with moisturizing their hair. They wash their hair with shampoo and conditioner only in the shower with hot water. It doesn’t really get dry and doesn’t need extra products or to be sealed. But by day three their hair is VERY oily so they need to wash and clarify often. Medium porosity hair is more like what ur hair seems to be. Ur hair is taking long to get saturated bc it’s dense. Very dense actually so u need a ton of water to saturate it. Low porosity is almost primarily found in Asian and whites with straight hair maybe wavy but not kinky curly or Coily. If u don’t say ur main issue with your hair is how oily it gets then u don’t have low porosity hair

Great video! I’ve been watching videos for help in caring for my daughter’s hair. It’s long, dense, and fine strands. Little to no curl pattern and very healthy. It trains a lot of time and small sections to care for it 😊. Your video is very relatable and helpful ❤

Hi i have 4c tight little coils. I started using the pattern styling cream and noticed how it did a better job hydrating my hair then anything else I've tried before (hair journey is 8 months). It helped show the definition that my hair had with no frizz. I usually wait 2-3 days before I wash my hair..... I honestly thought they had a gel in it (probably do) but after I shampoo-conditioned, my hair still had a lot of definition.

I think that it helped bring moisture and health into my hair through the days, and since I have low porosity it didn't leave.

You can try it because I don't know if it's just me. Usually the creams that I would try would just sit on top.

I don't get the part about water beads. I thought that was a function of the kinks in the hair strands - water sits on those kinks/bends.

I’m sorry but I have low porosity hair and it is the devil ! It is the WORST it is so hard to find good products for your hair .. any gel that I use to try and slick my edges just get dry and crusty! It is always so frizzy and dry and it’s so hard to find products ! I’m just over it

Today on 8/4/24, was the very first time at almost 30 (which I should’ve been doing this kind of research about four or five years ago) that I’ve FINALLY decided to open up in depth to understand my kind of hair and what hair porosity levels, etc. that is fully needed for myself (which this is also me dating me to take better care of me. Haha).

I’ve come to find out a few things. My hair texture a mix of loose and tight coils (curly), and yet my hair is 3B-4A. My hair porosity level is: Low porosity!

So because of finally having clarity about my hair type, I had to start watching hair videos only about, low porosity and the first video that came up….was YOURS!
