Good stuff Charlie, I’ll be trying out that track cleaner too in no time 🙂
Ответитьgreat update Charlie I wonder if we have a similar product to mr.clean on this side of the pond?
ОтветитьHi Charlie .. some good tips there. A couple of points if I may .. you did not mention 'back to back' (the distance between the wheels). There is a specification for this and a number of manufacturers don't get it right. In any case of derailment I think it is worth checking. With the all in one plastic molded wheels not much to be done except replace them. Most aftermarket (metal) wheels you can gently rotate and push (or pull) to change the gaps between the wheels. The 'ideal' gap depends on whose track you use but once you have a standard use it. My second point regarding couplings .. the main issue for UK rolling stock is there is no standard and every manufacturer does their own thing to the detriment of the hobby as a whole. A lot of modeler's say the heck with it and convert their fleet over to 'Kadee' which does have a strict standard and although this works it can also be cost prohibitive. There is no easy answer. Even if you made a test jig to check your UK couplings against there is often no method for adjustment.
ОтветитьHi Charlie , any shops near me sell that pad....I'm from Cardonald 😁😁😁
