im a proud prequels fan phantom menace great i enjoyed the political wars, and all the creative ship designs and the cultures of the planets, i liked Attack of the clones it showed us the first taste of Darth Vader and fleshed out obiwan and anakin for the first time the romance was cute and awkward for 2 young Adults falling in love for the first time, both movies have their flaws like pretty mid dialog and alot of CGI but thats ok and both movies are great then we have revenge of the sith my personal fav starwars movie everything is perfect in this movie the emotion, the way anakin was manipulated the obiwan parts of the story the legendery order 66 scene and ofc everything that happens on mustafar is perfect from anakin crying after killing the seperatists from the duel (aka the best duel in starwars) padme talking to anakin and eventually anakins death and birth of Darth Vader i reconize that the prequels as a trilogy arnt as good as the originals and never will be empire strikes back and ROTS take place 2 and 3 on my ranking of the movies but i know for a fact the prequels arnt as bad as the critics said back then

Just rewatched it. Loved it. The only problem is a lot of old cgi. But the story shines above it. All the action scenes with the clones is just so good. The Scene when they are firing through the smoke with all the red and blue lasers is iconic

Still don’t know why Jango used a dart to kill the assassin instead of just a blaster. Would’ve worked just as well without risking the Jedi finding out about Kamino and tracking him there through the dart. Kinda seems a bit careless for the best bounty Hunter in the galaxy.

I definitely think there is way more to love about this movie than to hate. I think it has been shat upon, way too much. It's my least favorite of the prequels, but I still have a great time watching it. I just happen to enjoy The Phantom Menace and Revenge of the Sith, even more.

No, i watched it recently and it's still very bad. The best of the prequels because it felt like an actual movie, albeit a very cheesy, corny and the room quality movie (minus Ewan McGregor) his portions elevate the movies.

Fun Fact: Kaminoans have a unique set of vision, allowing them to see colors most other animals can't. So the colors of Tipoca City is actually vibrant but undetectable with human eyes

I watched the Prequel Trilogy for the first time in the past year and I couldn't believe this wasn't well received by the fandom! It's the perfect three act tragedy: Episode 1 sets up the world and introduces the cast, Episode 2 deepens the plot and relationships between characters, and Episode 3 is the consequences of everything prior! The CGI is charming, the choreographed fights slap, and there's the perfect amount of camp throughout. I think some people just hate fun.

While this movie definitely has its weak points, I've never hated it. It did its most important job well. It made me care about the friendship between Obi-Wan and Anakin.

I quite liked the writing/characters of ATOC....visually the CGI was annoying, and it killed some of the immersion for me, but it wasn't a dealbreaker.

I was really annoyed by the whole factory sequence and C3P0 headswap thing.....that seemed to detract and distract from the story.

This movie is my favorite of the prequel trilogy. Then Return of the Jedi for originals, and Force Awakens is the last bad of the sequels.

The AOTC romance is botchy but it still works. Just like an old 1950s car that has been repaired a thousand times.

By the way, there is something important about Anakin telling Padmé he slaughtered the sand people. Actually he regrets that: "I'm a Jedi. I know I'm better than this". He is literally crying while telling that. The key for Padmé's reaction is that she was already in love with Anakin when going along with him to Tatooine. Why letting him leave from Naboo if not?

George Lucas pioneered CGI, and without him, we wouldn't have visual effects.

I think part of me thought that Tartarkovsky’s Star Wars kinda overshadow it in terms of quality.
Like Attack of the Clone and Revenge of the Sith kinda seen as “disappointment” to the critically acclaimed animation spin offs.
Especially in General Grievous.

For real... the first 3 Episodes are just such a good story of a good guy turning evil because of life happens.
First Movie: We learn who Anakin is
Second movie: He gets in contact with the Dark Side and motives to join it
third movie: He can't resist and joins the dark side.

People say it is rushed? It took nearly 3 2.5 hours long movies... How is this rushed xD
