Thank you, Liz! ❤ That is a lot of money with way too many problems to warrant the money spent! They could have bought a gentally used RV and many been better off.

I lucked out, I bought a 2003 Winnebago Journey 36LD about 10 years ago. Never had a single problem with it! I'd love to upgrade, but unfortunately the entire RV industry seems to have given up on quality. Which is a shame because America is the best country on Earth to explore in a camper.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

Money back is the answer. They have been sold a second hand RV or damaged with the natural disaster, not brand new as promised. UNBELIEVABLE FOREST RIVER!!! What a ripe off!!!

I'm hearing more and more stories regarding Forest River. The quality, fit and finish just isn't like it used to be.
Looks like they are going for profit over quality, which is really sad.
Had a Forest River hard side pop up and it was a great pop up camper, no issues. My uncle bought a Solera and at first I fell in love. Considered trading in two camper and a boat for one, but after a full season of camping it was roof issues, water pump, battery burned out twice, crooked door, rusting hinges, bad fridge, etc and some replaced under warranty, some given the run around (roof issues)...I'm just not interested in their products anymore.

This really makes me nervous about my 2021 Forrest River travel trailer. So far we’ve not had issues and drove it 8000 miles across the country last fall and had no issues. I’m hoping this camping season goes just as well. We purchased this used last summer. I would not purchase Forrest River again after watching these 2 videos.

Great work helping people, but why take a vehicle that has visible problems before even buying it. My experience looking into the industry and wreckage I have seen on the side of the road is that many if not most rvs are little more than sheds on wheels. Thanks again

Owner disclosures should be standard practice for selling RVs as should certified inspectors/inspections just as it is in real estate but that industry has real estate agents and buyers. It sounds like you need to hire buying agents / inspectors if you're going to make such an expensive purchase. Rather than spend hours upon hours like this couple did trying to resolve it, it may have been more economical to hire an attorney to deal with both companies and threaten to sue and sue if that doesn't work.

Just retired last year and almost made the mistake of buying an RV because we thought we could travel wherever we wanted to go whenever we wanted and all our "stuff" would be with us. We came within a whisker of buying one, but upon researching we found out the huge numbers of horror stories and just how difficult it was to reserve campsites ahead of time. We finally decided it would be a big mistake and said forget it. We're going on a big vacation this year, flying, renting an SUV and staying in hotels (can cancel all those reservations up to the day of if something comes up). The money we would have spent on an RV can fund these vacations for many, many years.

That sick, I got 5bd home and 50ish acres of land for less than that nightmare, I can't believe what people will pay for this junk. I've scrapped out 2 class A units (with videos on my channel to prove it) and they were built like a joke, both fleetwood units. I'll never have another, I bought a school bus and outfitted it to suit my fams needs and it's worked out great the last 7 years, 5 of which were full time while saving money to buy a home. Dunno why people wouldn't take that kinda money and buy property that usually increases in value rather thana RV that plummets like a tesla in value if not worse.
In an RV park I had a neighbor with a $450k unit, he told me it leaked from day 1 everytime they put the slides in amongst other things, so if that guy couldn't get a nice RV at near half a million then the outlook is real back when they aren't even half that cost. People really need to just stop buying these things and show the RV industry the way out of business.
I hate bashing, but $130k for something that small, I just can't understand the way people think they really just don't know how to value anything, it's no wonder people wind up ripped off, they pay that much money and take delivery of a shotty rv just because they really wanna do the RVing thing rather than blow off the deal and keep looking, people need to stop rushing to hit the road...
