I couldn't stay focused on him, he talked too much about not much of anything!!!

If this was fair and thorough, he would have also tested whether the injuries could have been from an assault and dog bites. Paint demonstrations from a canine mouth cast could have shown plausibility better than this vehicle strike test.

No blood dna on tail light and tail light housing. I'm confused by any of this testimony 🤷

I'm an engineer with multiple engineering degrees and a professional engineering license (which makes me legally liable for my engineering opinion). I've done forensic analyses for fire deaths, and countless performance based designs. Starting in my undergrad engineering days it was pounded into all engineering students that you never state your conclusions as absolute (especially with things like forensic analyses where it's impossible to recreate conditions 100%). It's always about ranges of probabilities. My work bosses and my former professors would skewer any engineer who made conlusions as certanties or absolutes. The best practice for engineers when summarizing conclusions is to use phrases like "Based on my analysis my conclusion is XYZ likely occurred", "All things being equal the data I analyzed suggests XYZ", or "Based on my analysis the data shows X is consistent with Y."

Regarding the discussion of Biomedical vs Biomechanical engineering, it's probably not a big enough deal to focus on for the defense. Biomech eng. is a sub-discipline of Biomed eng. There's a lot of overlap. All Biomechanical Engineers are Biomedical Engineers but not vice versa. It's common for engineers to get a degree in one discipline, gain experience, and transition to a related engineering discipline through work experience and practice. Assuming his public profile is accurate, this Welcher guy has a BS in Mech Eng, and an MS and PhD in Biomed Eng from very reputable schools. Plus he has about over 25 years of experience in Biomech Eng. I think if the defense questioned him about his title he would have legitimate responses.

The reason she speaks and laughs is because she is innocent. Think of how you would act if you were innocent? You would act just like her. It's a joke. She has nothing to hide because she knows she didn't do it. I would have a hard time staying silent if I knew I didn't do what I was being accused of.
