Your version of the Railmaster is so nice. Has grown on me a ton over the years. If it were a smidge smaller, it'd be on the top of the list. The new ones just aren't it. Crossed fingers for some more variants and maybe something closer to the early 2000s version.

The beat number of watches in a collection is one or infinite. One watch collection is the best because you simplify your life but if you are really fond of watches you will always find an another exit watch until you have 70 watches

Very solid and good taste! My collection is also 6 “primary” watches: Rolex Explorer 124270, Omega Speedmaster Reduced II, Tudor Black Bay 54, two-tone Omega Seamaster 1961, Seiko SKX013 and Zodiac Red Dot quartz Night Diver.

Your Omega Railmaster is my favorite watch in your collection. I didn't know about this watch. Thank you for the introduction. It's industrial, simple, no nonsense. The brushed steel dial is soft and warm and supple. The indices whisper and the sand colored markers subtly vibrate on the dial. Like the SR-71 Blackbird, it's stealthily elegant. Love love love.

Who makes the green strap in your Railmaster?

This collection needs some independent brands that are unique, limited editions, rare or made in low volume. Don’t get me wrong I respect Omega, I own a few speedy, but your collection needs some watch that tells me more about who you are as a person. High mass volume manufactured watch don’t say different stories, just ticking off boxes. All I see is LVMH+Swatch Group and Rolex.

I admire your collection, just needs some indie, here are some that come to mind that you may look into: Kurono, Nivada, Norqain, Junghans, Moser, Formex, Fears, Ming, Kurono, Anordain.

Really enjoy these sorts of videos, love seeing how a collection evolves and the reason for choosing each piece.

Buy the hype watch—you’ll likely be happier overall. These are luxury items meant to be enjoyed, not just tools. Wear them for yourself and for others to appreciate. Don’t get too caught up in technical details. Most people fall into the 95% who enjoy what’s popular—don’t pretend to be the 5% who overspend on things no one, including yourself, really cares about.

My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from amzswiss

Very nice collection, I consolidated to 6 watches as well. 1 in and 1 out if I were to add another watch. I rotate 3 watches monthly.

-Cartier Santos on black leather strap

-Tudor Pelagos FXD Red Bull on obviously blue fabric strap.

Each set sort of consist of a dressier watch, everyday and a casual weekend with my kids at the pool or some other outdoor activities.

Great collection. Since you don’t really dress up, I’d say it’s near perfect. My most worn are a WG DD 40 and a Starbucks Submariner.

What is this Omega Strap?

Nice that you still have the Railmaster. I have the exact one. Very underrated. It may be the last true Railmaster. The new ones are looking like mixes of Aqua Terra with faux vintage FOIS hands.
