It is not required to ID to process serve. They simply sign a statement for the court saying they served the documents.

If recruits were told ON DAY ONE at the academy that they serve at the pleasure of the public, who are their supervisors’ supervisors, that would probably weed out most of the potential bullies on big ego power trips.
