I have a theory on how the wood humans work in this universe
I believe that their bodies are made out of some stretchy wood material. Hence why the skeleton inside thomas appears bigger than a person and how they can bend their arms. Their bodies i believe would mostly be made out of wood, so the organs are pretty small but expand when directly exposed to air. I think that there is a lubricant in between their wood “skin” and wood skeleton.

But then at the end of project g-1 you can see a fictional blog where it says “tributes paid to childrens entertainer” with bob the builder on the side. Which means that clay people exist. And thats easy to explain how they would work.
