When I was railfanning at Santa Fe Springs last week, I caught BNSF 4064 with a Leslie RS3L!

I love these type trains they are very rare anymore

This horn exactly sounds like the Indian locomotive.

Every time I hear a RS3L I hear "Santa Fe all the Way!"

This is my new favorite horn and soon I'm getting a norfolk southern gp38 ho scale locomotive with it.

I sure do miss Conrail. I could hear their horn in the distance. There was a crossing five miles away from where I live and I could hear the horn at any hour. And the crossings in Clinton and Annandale NJ.Awesome Conrail horns. Have a nice day

I grew up with Iowa Interstate Railroad its a shortline on peoria and iowa. It as a few RS3Ls on most of there sd38-2s. My favorite is number 152. Now they mostly just use ES44s.

Honestly, the Leslie horns scream "get out of the way!" The same cannot be said for Nathan-Airchime horns, however.

This is the most common hor I hear on metro north on the M7a, M8, M3a and the cab cars. I think they use a slightly different RS horn. I think it’s a RS2. Correct me if I’m wrong in some way.

We hear these horns in Estonia too, I have a video where the horn is heard.

The first time I heard this horn was in 2010 with an NS SD60M in georgia. Thats why ex Conrail: NS 6769 is one of my favorites, even if its retired/scrapped

The Norfolk locomotive 8314 has my favorite Leslie RS3L sound after it passes and blows in the distance I love the low pitch sound it makes that what I grew up hearing in the Bronx NY🥰💚🔥💯
