Baldur's Gate 3 Was Worth The Wait

The only game I was looking forward to this year I'm glad it's good

The download is chugging away as I type. Once it’s there my Archfey Warlock will be ready to dive in.

Was unsure how I'd like the game since I am not good at turn based combat. Before I knew it, I was 11 hours in...

i planned on tackling my backlog the rest of the year... guess that's not going to happen

Will be playing a multi-classed Sorcerer Warlock first play thru. Have fun everyone.

I have never played a DnD video game like Baldur's gate or Divinity, but this game seems so intriguing that I really want to give it a shot. How accessible is the game for a newcomer to the series?

My first playthrough is a Barbarian half-orc who swears an oath of vengeance after escaping the mindflayers, becoming a Beserker/Paladin

Once I'm done with Jagged Alliance 3 I'm grabbing Baldur's Gate 3.

Looks clunky..even the male characters look like feminist lesbians.

I'm gonna play as a longword-wielding ashen-haired and green-eyed human female eldritch knight called Ciri, of course.

I don’t think I’m the target audience, the fantasy designs always seem incredibly generic and bland to me but I’ll give it a try

My first character is a half-orc sword bard called Cro Drogen.

He's a successful orc comedian who runs a magical podcast. He actually volunteered for the brain worm because he thinks it'll get him high.

Now he's on a quest to get high and hunt animals.

on my game, everyone is naked at camp which makes every interaction that much funnier

The Character creation is like WOWs with dicks.

This one is not playing that game no, we watch a few twitch streams of it while knitting a sock.

BG3 is probably the best RPG ive ever played. Goin on 3 weeks. No sleep! Because of this game! Yeehaw!

I waited until a few hours before launch to buy and play the game. And like you I'm so glad I did.

And I'm realizing there are a TON of ways to do things and outcomes. So many that I am tempted to start over with what I've figured out. It's truly amazing.

And I'm playing a class of a type I've never played before: a bard. I've made them a benevolent tiefling on top of that which I'm sure gives me a different experience from someone playing a hard line good paladin or an evil sorcerer.

On top of being a great game ... It's also possibly the smoothest launch for a triple A game I've seen in over a decade.

I wish they all played like this at launch. And with increased prices for big budget games these days ... They really should.

I’m loving this game. My most hilarious moment (apart from Gale’s recorded message - if you know, you know) was really struggling with combat and repeatedly getting killed by Minthra. I was lost. Didn’t know what to do. Then realised I’d missed the level increase button… My group immediately goes from lvl 1 to lvl 4 and its possible again. I’m an idiot

I was playing on PC killed my card and I'm missing it every day this game is fantastic can't wait for the PS5 version

Baldurs Gate 1 was the first RPG I played, and I have a lot of fun memories. Never thought a game could surprise and delight as it did... untill now. What an amazing game!

Medium build Male Pale Blue Tiefling Draconian Blood Scorcerer who is Chaotic neutral. I'm a Charlatan who has a knack for manipulation, lying, and a little thieving. Basically non-violent crimes. I usually save people and rob them. Working towards electricity specialist. Solo Tactician. I almost ALWAYS start fights with a sneak attack with Astarion if I see enemies before an encounter kicks off. I occasionally abuse standing on crates I make my resident carry.

I absolutely loved/played traditional D&D as a teenager with my friends, but I’ve never played a CRPG or turned based game. Intrigued to give this one a try… if it comes out on PS5.
