Biggest mistake of my life buying this stupid fucking game. The fight mechanics are are chunky and during combat, I had to be locked on one person at a time the other person to attack me I give the game a solid three stars
ОтветитьThe annoying thing was the lock battle system u had to fought 1 on 1 even on 5 v 1, many said it was realistic one, my ass realistic, if i got crowded by enemy i would not fought like that, i can defeat 5 v 1 but only just peasant mob other than that i dont know its infuriating, and is to play hard on a gaming mouse and keyboard, this game recommended for gamepad only, shame this game cannot be enjoyed for casual player u had to become unemployed to fully play this game lol

ОтветитьJust watching these clips the biggest issue I can see is that it's just so clunky. Like I get that you're starting super inexperienced but this is honestly insane. The Middle Earth games had a fantastic combat system especially when fighting captains and warchiefs on higher difficulty because they learn and improve as you use different tricks on them

ОтветитьHonestly combat in this game is so trash I stop playing it every time. Never fails. I try to play then I'm just reminded why I wasted money on this game and if you say it's suppose to be realistic just know I been in multiple knife fights and melee fights with weapons and Imma tell you right now it's easier than this combat system for sure. That or I'm just that good at it but I doubt that cus I had my nose cut off one time.. So yeah this combat system just sucks balls. Good story looks like a good game.. But the combat to this day on this game is so atrocious.
ОтветитьThe combat is soooo bad I am kinda new kingdom come...and I trained with the captain for hours DAYS even Henry just sucks D** he so weak, even after leveling defense attack sword combat he is still to slow against a BANDIT and compared to bandit I be knight basically special forces and they kill me in couple of hits even with perfect parry knight armor but when I have finally killed them they have awful armor and somehow they take more damage then me have more stamina all the time Henry gets tired if he gets hit even without blocking...like when the armor takes the hit the enemys are so tanky doesn't matter bandit or knight "realistic" combat my ass for you yes but the enemys kill you instantly and take a million hits more than you not to mention fighting a group IMPOSSIBLE you can switch the targets so you get surrounded and get killed one enemy is already bad enough but a group forget it. The devs who made this combat system should be fired. And before anyone says you bad I do combos perfect parrys and still get f**Ed BECAUSE the enemys always have more armor health or stamina than you F U deep silver eat my 🍆

ОтветитьThis game is so " realistic" that when you sinked 3 to 5 arrows into enemies bodies and legs they still run faster then you and destroy you in melee fight. I wish Rockstar makes medieval games open world games. This game good at punishing players and waste time and energy, what a frustrating game, never have we played such a frustrating game that makes it so " realistically" boring and time consuming just over nothing.

ОтветитьOn one sense it's amazing the progression,weapon choices,different attacks the works but half the time it doesn't work. Fighting multiple enemies is completely antithetical to the design of the combat. Yet we always get gangbanged. It doesn't feel well thought out. If you ever mention you have problems with it people insist it's a skill issue. Given how many have problems it isn't just that.
ОтветитьLmfao i uave lvl 16 swords and lvl 14 warfare, lvl 15 strength, and lvl 11 agility and i still get master striked by peasants in rags.
The combat system is absolute dogshit, the worst ive ever seen.
I still like everything else, i just cheese combat by taking one of every beneficial potion in the game

ОтветитьAgree 100%. Game combat system is TRASH. Especially the part where hand to hand combat - and your opponent has 730 health and you have 20. Makes no sense at all.

ОтветитьMy issue is I rush into a fight to help some guards against a group of enemies. As soon as I engage in combat with one of them, EVERY other enemy comes after me only. It’s like the guards don’t even exist anymore like wtf.
ОтветитьAll I took away from this is that most KCD players just want a M&B Warband setting which completely removes the realism aim of the entire franchise. It's not supposed to be fair it's meant to be an absolute struggle. It's a simulator not just another generic sword and now game. They fit in as many authentic things as they seemed acceptable.

ОтветитьI wish they added practice fighting multiple people in the game when Captain Robard or Captain Bernard trains you. It would also help you get better in fighting multiple npcs
ОтветитьI think there is room for improvement as well. I don't agree that fights are too drawn out. If you level up both Henry's combat skills and your own you can go through armored enemies fairly quickly. I do not agree that you should be able to get your combos off "guaranteed". As a retired SCA fighter, my experience was that the good fighters would interrupt your best laid plans way more often than not. I imagine real life-and-death fighting you don't get guaranteed combos either. Your combos should only work on tired or inexperienced foes IMO. But I will grant that combos are pretty useless against low level bots. But again, that matches my SCA experience. My combos against untrained fighters never panned out either because my first or second swing was mostly always a kill shot. So I can understand gamers frustration with the system, but I think most recreational fighters will have to agree this is one of the best combat systems they've tried. Again, there is room for improvement. Target switching, in my mind, should slow down time (much like a perfect block). That's not realistic but it would approximate how a real fighter can simply swing or stab an unsuspecting face you catch out of the corner of your eye letting you get a quick kill. Anyway liked your video.

ОтветитьI just starded playing a couple days ago, and i agree. The combat system is horrible once you have multiple enemys. It just always locks to the wrong Person. There is a game out there called Mordhau whos combat system would be next to ideal for Kingdome come. But i guess it is wishfull thinking.

ОтветитьI love medieval games but the combat system in this one made me stop playing. I gave it app. 60h: I absolutely love the setting and I absolutely hate the combat system. In the end I was cheesing every enemy, constantly running backwards and stinging them to death. I "arrowed" the first boss fight completely; just Legolas'ing him down. It was so boring. The rest of the game is absolutely awesome but I don't understand why they cannot give us the option to switch the combat system to mere button inputs. I get the point of the system but it makes the game unplayable for me. It's ok, sometimes a game isn't just for you. But it's sad.

ОтветитьThis game isn't for everyone. I've only ever played it on hardcore mode but I love the RPG elements of you being an absolute nobody getting you ass kicked and learning the hard way.
ОтветитьMy biggest issue with group combat is this one enemys just running into my face. Not like a tacke or longsword knockdown, but straight up run to close the distance up to you into your face, nose touching. NPC walking into a wall-style.
Blocks the entire view, camera yanks to him while the rest just pummels you while you cant even see whats going on.
If I could at least see something, I could try to masterstrike somebody. But not with facehugger McGee over here. Who masterstrikes me if I dare attack him.
Ik this is an old vid but the issue you were running into was armored opponents are countered by maces not swords.

Ответитьi'll prob have to make a guide vid my self, you're not supposed to be fighting group of enemy in the first place, and when you do, always move backward, never attack enemy unless they are all in the front. Keep your stamina above average, the lower your stamina the less damage you do and take more damage from enemy, this applies to enemy too so a master strike or combo consecutively does a lot of damage, compare to waiting for them to recover and do a single master strike. as for the lock on you can switch target if you swipe your mouse long enough, or press the lock on button to toggle around. Dealing with armoured enemy just use mace, you'll cut through their armor in like 3 swings
ОтветитьIn the design document I wrote years ago after playing this game and coming up with an "Ideal" sequel for it. My system for combat is as follows:
Using the PlayStation 4 controller as reference
• There are now enemy types in the game based on their social class and combat ability. Generally, combat mechanics are restricted the lower on the social class the enemy is. So peasants and poorly equipped bandits cannot do perform combos, clinches, dodge, parry, or masterstrike. While knights in full plate have access to all the game's combat mechanics.
• Reworked basic combat controls.
To Lock On to an ememy, press R3. Only then can you do proper attack combos and perform masterstrikes.
If a ranged weapon's requirements are met, you can also lock on with it. Though all shots will only target center mass.
While locked on, pressing Left and Right D-pad switches between hostile targets.
To sheathe weapons, unlock from target by pressing R3 and then Hold Left or Right D-pad for melee and ranged weapons, respectively.
You can still attack and defend even when not locked onto an enemy. However, melee attacks are less precise, being wider and more horizontally focused for better crowd control. Blocking blocks all attacks in view of the camera, same with parrying.
L2 is kick. Kicking can now be performed with weapons drawn.
Kicking does little damage especially to an armored opponent, but it is useful for pushing back enemies to create space, knock low stamina enemies off balance, and deal with shielded enemies by kicking away shields to create a small opening.
Effectiveness of kicks is based on Strength, Agility, and Unarmed of both Henry/Hans and the opponent.
Sprinting and attacking performs a special attack based on what attack you use. All weapon types have one for thrust (R1) and one for swing (R2). With a shared Sprinting Kick (L2) for all weapons.
• Reworked Masterstrike mechanic.
- For Henry to perform a masterstrike:
> You must meet your equipped weapon's skill requirements.
> You must have 50% or higher stamina.
> You must be locked onto an enemy.
> You must flick the R-Stick into the direction of the attack and simultaneously press L1 and either R1, R2, or L2 right in the midpoint of the attack animation to perform the masterstrike.
Using R1 in a Master Strike performs a thrust or pommel strike, while R2 performs a slash or bash, and lastly L2 performs either a punch or kick based attack.
The type of master strike animation performed is dictated by what stance the enemy is in as well as whether you are in lethal or non lethal mode.
Performing a master strike on a near 0HP enemy will replace the master strike animation with an execution animation or a knock out animation, in lethal or non lethal mode, respectively.
- For enemies to perform a masterstrike:
> They must be of the appropriate social class and combat experience. Typically, having quality plate armor for their torso means they are capable of masterstriking.
> They must have 50% or higher stamina.
> They must telegraph that they will perform a masterstrike by going into a masterstrike stance. Depending on the enemy type, they can have 1 or several and be obvious or increasingly subtle.
-> For example. Veteran Bandits and Soldiers only have 1 masterstrike stance and are obvious about it. Doing a "Come At Me Bro" animation. Standing still,stretching out their arms to the side, and insulting you to goad you into attacking.
While a Knight would have at least 4, would only slightly change up how they hold their weapon, and are able to do it while moving, even when sprinting.
• Dodging can now performed manually and at any time by moving L-Stick and pressing SQUARE. You can dodge in any direction. Dodging animation is Henry or Hans ducking under and swiftly repositioning.
Dodging while Locked On will change left and right movement so that Henry or Hans dodges in a circle around the enemy.
Dodging consumes stamina, the amount of which is based on Agility and current weight.
Agility also dictates how soon you can attack immediately after pressing SQUARE to dodge. With a 1 second delay at Agility 1, 0.6 second delay at Agility 10, and 0.2 second delay at Agility 20.
