ОтветитьClassic teenage movie came out in '79. Over the Edge!
ОтветитьThe jerk is a classic movie
ОтветитьHave y’all ditched the timeline series? 😢
ОтветитьMy grandmother and her good friend, Sidney drove from upstate NY to Los Angeles, CA with me in the backseat at 2 yrs old. We passed through Las Vegas, NV where we took a break from the road…and I remember wearing my ballerina outfit.
ОтветитьNobody cares about foreign potentates being taken-out or scientists and authors. The most influential cultural movement of the late 70's was Disco, but after watching several of your annual stories, you mentioned only one band, Chic but mistook it as funk and nothing about Saturday Night Fever. Instead you mention some non-event in Chicago arguing death of it.
Ответитьand wow mean Joe Green we have a stadium named after him in my hometown his college alma mater is here we have a new stadium now but we still have mean Joe Green stadium i think as a practice area for our mediocre football team lol
ОтветитьI was a year old
ОтветитьWhen is timeline 2000 coming out?
Ответитьi never liked The Police, and still don't...not sure why...
ОтветитьMy teacher was in 1972 so what's the timeline to that😂😂😂
ОтветитьDo 2000s
ОтветитьI was 8, I had Another Brick in the Wall in 45. No dark sarcasm in the classroom, I thought they were say “no dukes of hazard in the classroom” true story 😅
ОтветитьWas born December 5, 1979. So I don't consider myself a 70s child. I remember last part of 80s and relate mostly to the 90s.
Ответитьdo you guys plan on continue this series? it's awesome!
ОтветитьWhy isn't the channel called Timeline?
ОтветитьYeah, man, give us the 60s and 2000s
ОтветитьAbsolutely love this series. If they ever put out another one of these Timeline series, they should definitely do the 1960s. There was so many things that happened during those years, it would be awesome to see it broken down into this timeline series.
ОтветитьThanks for the reminder ❤ revisted May 21 2024❤❤❤
ОтветитьI was born 7/19/79. So it’s cool that I can say… I was born 7: 1979💜
ОтветитьGrowing up in the 1970s was special! I became a teenager in 1978.
Everything about the 1970s seemed special. The music, fashion, films, TV shows, attitudes, politics, toys, beautiful women, schools, etc.
I remember 1979 being an exceptionally good time. It was like everyone wanted to close the decade with a bang!
muppet movie and hostages...i remember the news of 'day such and such of the hostage crisis' all the way into 6th grade! i remember feeling safe under reagan <3
ОтветитьI love music from 1979
Ответить1979 was the year my dad started his battery business. Specializing in buying and flipping junk batteries to recyclers while picking out the newer, undamaged units and reconditioning them...started it in a literal shed-like building on a main street, grew to 3 locations, back to 1 location in '85 when he built his big shop...sold out in 2021 and is retired now. What a run. Crazy to think how much the world changed during that time and all of the challenges along the way, from the recession of the early 80s to COVID, pop's saw it all. Great vid. Great year.
ОтветитьI had never heard of "Mug 'o Lunch" until this video. Honewtly thats a genius idea, especially for office workers. Everyone has a mug for coffee, when lunch time came, you dumped out the coffee and used it for lunch. Cant believe it didbt carch on. Something tells me it would be a huge hit today, it was too far ahead of its time perhaps.
ОтветитьOne of my most favorite things from that period is when I started to see Steve Martin’s breakout role as the homeless man in the Carl Reiner comedy, “The Jerk” which I think of the part where his character works as a fuel attendant at the gas station begans criticizing the oil cans is just a instant classic to this day which I still crack up to.
ОтветитьThe 2000s?...😮no no, PLEASE NOOOO !!! 😫
ОтветитьJimmy Carter lost the election because he shooed away a rabbit. Not because he was a complete dud as a leader. Got it.
ОтветитьBorn in 76...cant tell you how many time ive heard, then went on to throw around.....
Warriors, come out and playeya😂
I think the 1978-79....or should I just say, 1979 is basically the beginning of the 1980s...is basically telling me that we're not out of the woods just yet......
The Warriors, Star Trek The Motion Picture, Captain America 1979 TV Movies, CHiPs, Incredible Hulk, and Hart To Hart, as well as the Historic 1979 New York City Subway Map has come to mind for me.......
The trouble is, i was still a toddler towards a 24 month old baby at the time..... and I was born in September of 1977..... so I want to learn more about 1979.... Thank you very much.....☕🥓🧇🍳🗽🇺🇸🌈
I wish that we could bring back that Supreme Court.
ОтветитьCarter should have pardoned Chuck Barry.
Ответить1979 Star trek the motion picture, my first girlfriend. A good way to end the year. 🇺🇸
ОтветитьI was born on March 8th of that year in Queens, New York
ОтветитьTMI live there now for 30 yrs Conoy Township
Ответить🎉📽️ 10 🍑🍒🍌🥕🥒🍆. Remember!?
ОтветитьDo the 60s it's time
ОтветитьI was married in 79 and still am to this very day!
ОтветитьMostly American culture but quite interesting anyway.
ОтветитьAli came out of retirement twice - to fight Larry Holmes in 1980 and Trevor Berbick in 1981
ОтветитьPlease make a Timeline 2000s!!!!
ОтветитьThe 70s were deffinatly the end of a golden age they took everything cool and improved it till we have all the great stuff we have now they just forgot to keep raisin cool people i guess we just havnt figured how to improve common sense or morallity
ОтветитьTHEY ARE NOT BROTHERS !!!
ОтветитьI never heard of Jimmy Carter whappin a wabbit!! No wonder he didn’t get re elected!😂
ОтветитьIf Berry's the father of Rock and Roll does that mean a black man invented it?
ОтветитьAmerican 191 😢
Ответить1979, probably one of the most consequential years in modern history.
ОтветитьYou know Nickelodeon launch in April 1 1979
