I'll be interested to see early reactions from the NEC. I am going up mid week, hopefully it will not be too crowded. First port of call will be Triumph to see the Tiger 660 Sport, but a swing by both Norton and BSA are a must. Have a safe trip.
ОтветитьSafe and enjoyable journey Nathan up to brum, hope you get lots of business and have a great time 👍
ОтветитьThose more cost-effective bikes you mention can only be a good thing for consumers as it will hopefully introduce competition for the more established brands and help keep cost sensible.
If I was going to the NEC I’d be looking at similar bikes !
Heading up on Wednesday myself to break up the week, so probably see all the interesting stuff online beforehand, a shame yamaha are not there as I would love to sit on the t700, but I guess I can go to a local dealer really. Safe trip up there sir and enjoy!
ОтветитьLooking forward to your view on the new offering at the show.
ОтветитьReally interested to hear your thoughts on the Moto Morini once you've seen it and had a chance to ride it. Looks good and a good price, but is it like the 500x - a dressed up road bike? (before I get comments, I ride a 500x and I take it on all sorts of tracks and trails, but it is what it is...!)
ОтветитьWill be up there tomorrow too. See you there!
ОтветитьYour need your big coat on 🥶
ОтветитьHi Nathan do you still have the v85tt? Good for a longer trip on the motorway!
ОтветитьDragon Rally next year?? 🐲
ОтветитьHi Nathan when you measured the T7 weight what did it have fitted to it ? Crash bars, luggage rack etc , thanks
ОтветитьWhy didn’t you go up on the Guzzi and it would have done the trip up no problem as all on road.
ОтветитьI wonder if the tuareg will be there, I had the original Tuareg Wind with the Rotax engine many years ago, pals had the Tenere's..I prefered the Tuareg to be honest.
Hey, you be careful up there, I seem to remember you had an injury up there some years back, a wee mishap !
I just got rid of my CB500x after two years or happy riding and 100% reliabiity, replaced it with and XSR700 Tribute as a runaround and a late VFR800x Crossrunner for longer days/journeys.
Like that particular set up on your Honda Cbx 500 rally... definitely ticks the boxes Nathan
ОтветитьI'd much rather have a T7 than a pricey 500. That shirt looks warm.
ОтветитьI've considered the CB500X as a next bike , to do mainly road and some back lanes , good to hear a little review NEC should be a good un .
ОтветитьJust bought the 500x. I am being realistic about my travel needs and abilities now. With a plate underneath it the Honda will carry us both wherever I can ride it .
And it's better on road than my 660 tenere, which as much as I love it will now be sold. It is much more bike off road than I need.
Happy travels
I'll be up there either today, or tomorrow.
ОтветитьBought my cb500x 1 year too early but for camping and having to ride pavement to get to the dirt I'm still happy with the 2021 model.
ОтветитьPeople keep saying this is the bike honda should have built but at £9.5k for a 47hp bike is anyone going to buy one?
ОтветитьHow do I book a trip out with you. Would like to try a Himalayan on some tracks.
ОтветитьNathan... I Generally agree with ur logic. I do have a bit of a different opinion. I have this exact bike but a 2021. I have had it everywhere (black bear pass- engineer pass and about 15 others here in Colorado and it does not skip a beat. The only thing it doesn't do with ease? Is take big air hits at higher speeds. So many references to road bias road bias. Yes I could have bought a taller heavier stock Tenere for about 12k and wait in line in the US and then still have to outfit the bike- skid plates -handguards double takes-exhaust and the normal... And still the damn clutch cover would be hitting my right leg🙂 I know u are value minded... Just like the lot of us I just don't know why you won't just give it what it is due.. I see what you are choosing to ride.. now if the CB just had a few more ponys that would be nice. I'm working that this winter ☺️ cheers
