I need to get a new pair of gloves as well. I liked the Blythewood kind. Geeze they were 🔥 hopefully you'll get another lil flow I believe it's done here. Need some rain 🌧 thanks for sharing 🐝
ОтветитьI am unsubscribing. What a terrible way to raise bees. You are so damned greedy you will take ALL the honey and feed the poor bees GMO sugar. Disgusting!!
ОтветитьThat #15 hive is not killer bee mean but they are pissy for sure, any number of things can cause that like almost out of food or no queen or even a mouse that moved into the hive eating their honey comb can cause that. I would suit up in a full body suit if you have one and go back in and go through the entire hive. Good Luck ! I agree on pinching the Queen in the spring and come armed for battle. LOL
ОтветитьThe Mann lake ones just showed up recently - I think they are rebranded Apis Tactical but I could be wrong.
ОтветитьI live in Maine and I still have White Clover still blooming.
ОтветитьI have 2 Bee castle hives. The Hives are great but my Russian bees do not like their plastic wax coated foundation.
ОтветитьHi from southern New Zealand 👋 nice, at least the bitchy hive was the last one and not the first😂 i don't tolerate aggressive temperament either, agree with the requeen in spring. Thyme honey flow is two weeks away for us down here already seeing the first little scattering of thyme flowers and we just had a massive dose of rain so hopefully it will be a good flow, looks positive 👍👋 time to move bees into the thyme migration apairy 😁 which means using the wheelbarrow because it's a difficult access site😂👍👋
ОтветитьI would definitely requeen them asap. You dont want those genetics to spread.
ОтветитьAbout that hive with the queen cell and all the drone cells, I wouldn't worry overly much about a laying worker as that situation takes time to develop and there just wasn't with a queen cell. For further evidence I suggest you look at the eggs and especially the position and the number of eggs in the cell. Somewhere halfway on the side and/or multiple are indications of a laying worker, single eggs nicely in the center at the bottom is definitely a laying queen. However, with the unexpectedly high number of drone cells, you may have a drone laying queen in which case that queen cell, whatever the location, is probably a last ditch attempt at superceding her.
ОтветитьI would definitely replace that queen in that last hive in the spring.
ОтветитьSo, even though the bees are of a HOT variety, can you replace the queen with a non-hot type, and would the bees kill her?
ОтветитьWhy don't you bring an empty bucket to collect all those drops of syrup when turning buckets upside down to get the vacuum?.You have a lot of hives there.
Ответить👍👍
ОтветитьI love my apis gloves so hopefully you will like them also. I am also going through a similar situation in one of my hive where they have a queen because I saw her plus they have eggs. The problem though is they keep making queen cells but she is laying great brood patterns. I have no clue what they are doing but I keep tearing the cells down. They are supersedure cells but she seems to be a good queen. I may be wrong and they may die this winter but I’m rolling the dice.
ОтветитьI love your logo. Can I get a shirt with that on it?
Ответитьpls help me understand. I've noticed over the last 15yrs or so that ppl aren't using contractions in the english spoken language anymore. Why did they stop? It's simply far easier and a faster way to convey information than saying can not or did not. Now before ppl in the chat get mad i want to say this is just me asking a question that isn't directed at anyone. Wondering also if cat in the hat books had anything to do with this. Speculations?
ОтветитьWow, I am very grateful I have never, in all my 35 years of beekeeping, never had mad bees like this! Wow. I would be in trouble as I never suit up--because my bees are sweethearts. I hope you did not get stung a lot. Little beatches!
ОтветитьNice video ❤
ОтветитьWhat a blessing to still have your Mom!
ОтветитьWhy was the last hive so angry? What to do about it?
ОтветитьJose is my neighbor and he's a pretty good fella
ОтветитьYou haven't got stung yet until you get stung in the bunghole that will get your attention
ОтветитьThey followed you all the way to your pickup, I think you need a new queen. I wouldn't want any that aggressive.
Ответитьyou're a funny guy. you kept me entertained!
ОтветитьThumbs up for mentioning Stu. Don't forget Pat Grey either. (We all love Pat and Stu) ....
...
(and yes we like Glen too but don't let him know ;-)
I found your channel by accident, glad I did
Long before you asked us to subscribe etc, I was already there
I enjoy the content and your presentation is fun...thanks
I once watched a guy get attacked by THOUSANDS of bees, he jumped into a swamp and when he came up to gasp for air,
a bunch of bees got sucked into his throat, he swallowed so many bees whole that most of them didn't digest properly and
came out fully intact when he went to use the bathroom. He swallowed somewhere around 32 bees. He said it was the only thing
he could do because he had to use his hands to swim in place, keeping his head above water. He threw up some of them when he came out of the
water, but as I mentioned earlier, most of it came out in his "stool". Absolutely terrifying (and gross, lol).
