the confederates were not traitors because they had already seceded from the union by the time the war started

they weren't part of the union so they weren't obligated to be loyal to America

and seceding is not listed as a treasonous act

since they were not involved in a treasonous act their flag is not a symbol of treason

I love watching "The Walking Ex Federalists"...

My Great Great Grandfather fought for the Union. He would have seen the battle flag of Lee's army at Gettysburg and would have cheered it's defeat. I think of the glorification of that symbol today as the same as someone pissing on my Great Great's grave. Symbol of treason for sure. Thanks you tube for putting a seven year old video in my feed that I won't watch but still grinds my gears.
