You keep comparing the KL subway system with systems in NYC and London. The NYC system is 120 years old and the London tube is even older. OF COURSE THE KL SYSTEM IS GOING TO BE CLEANER.

As a Malaysian, I can vouch that we are as messy and rubbishy as everyone else in this world (well, except maybe the Japanese).

The place looks so clean because the cleaners are working full-time to keep it that way.

Comparing Malaysia to countries like USA or France, I say we definitely have a better subway system. But if you compare us to countries like Japan, we still have a long way to go. Hopefully one day Malaysia's public transport will be as efficient as Japan.

Hi.......I think the maintenance has to be continuous. Anything will get dirty and ageing after sometimes. Even the painted walls, floorings, ascelators etc to be maintained in a good shape all the time. The companies that runs the LRT, MRT, KTM Commuter, Monorail even buses have to adhered to the rules stipulated in the agreements with the government or else these service providers will be suspended😂

Most tourists i met, i would say more than 80 percent think Thailand and Singapore is way better and the beaches in the Philippines and Indonesia are unbeatable. Malaysia is ok ok. Another thing that is destroying Malaysia image is the behaviour of foreign workers and Rohingya refugees. The Banglas who are running business are charging too high in petaling street and other places. If the Malaysian government don't do anything to mend the situation then the uncontrolled influx of foreign workers will have a negative impact on the tourism industry. Some may say Malaysia need foreign workers but why are thousands doing businesses legal and illegally. Who are providing them licence and many of them were intially here to work in plantations, not opening up businesses. In a few more years parts of Kuala Lumpur will look more like Dharawi . Good luck Malaysia!.

Me n my family moved over from U.S for work. Malaysia is clean, lots of big malls , lots n lots of bakeries we don't have anything like that I in US. Lot of food options. Theyv METRO, Grab like uber.good beachs I heard... Malaysia airport is good too..nothing compared to Singapore airport but still very clean, good people... You'll find lot of Indian people very helpful.
