Hey i follow your tic tok. I just got an axolotl from a friend that didn’t know what she was doing. Please try and contact me
ОтветитьI want to get an axolotl and this helped so much
Ответитьmy current fish have not been cycled and they are still alive im not saying im right doing this but how are they alive still ive had them for 1year and i do water changes every 2weeks
ОтветитьI've had my betta fish for one year and recently I been getting this white micro worms stuck on the tank glass my water levels are good n a heater in
ОтветитьWhat if I don’t have access to a cycled filter at all? How do I get good bacteria going?
ОтветитьMy nitrite and ammonia levels are great but my nitrate is 0 and my ph is 8.2, do you recommend any ways to fix that? I was planning on getting an axolotl in about a week but I checked the water and the ph levels and nitrate are off. Do I have to put that off?
ОтветитьYou mean to tell me I spent 58 dollars om something that doesn't even work
ОтветитьHello there
ОтветитьOkay, but should you declorinate the water before you cycle it? Or do you not need to declorinate it if you cycle it?
ОтветитьSo once a tank is cycled do you have to cycle it again?
Ответитьthe person who disliked the video didn’t cycle
Ответитьno old tanks and no bottle bacteria means waiting 6 month for it to cycle :)
ОтветитьI Just stated cycleing my 5 gallon tank and I have been doing very much research on how to check ph levels on the tank (using the master kit) I bought gravel substrate and even a moss ball for the set up but I want a beta and I was wondering if I should buy beta water from the pet store?
ОтветитьWhat should the ph be for a axolotl tank?
Ответитьi’ve had my betta for 4 months and he’s doing well so far. i usually do water changes every 2 weeks and about 1/4 (he’s in a 10 gallon) so far the only problem is there has been a lot of algae. i don’t have any live plants and i haven’t looked into it that much but i am considering getting some. but the algae on the glass is an orangish color and is pretty easy to remove. on my fake plants there’s a reddish algae that is really hard to get off. is it better to keep it there? sorry this was a mess im just a little concerned about it haha.
ОтветитьI veugly knew about cycling when I got my betta fish, but I decided to get my tank and my fish the same day. Luckily, he was fine and he ended up living for 2.5 years! I was very surprised. In the future, I will use this advice to cycle my tanks properly before adding any fish. THANK YOU
Ответитьi found you off of tiktok and i have been looking for a video like this! you explain it so well x
ОтветитьI want to try ammonia dosing but how do you know when your tank is fully cycled with this method
Ответитьcan you please do a video about setting up a betta fish tank ( like your axolotl tank setup video)that includes all the things required e.g temperature, tank mates, food, prefered substrate, good product brands
( Don't worry I will still do more research )
Me passing the video and righting in down like 👁-👁 🥵
ОтветитьI’m cycling my first tank and I’m so excited for it to be ready for lil fish lads! Also I’m so grateful that the workers at the place I’m going won’t sell you fish until they test your tank water to make sure it’s safe!
ОтветитьFirst and foremost, I’m loving your videos! They are the most informational axolotl resources I have found thus far!
I own 2 adult (5-6 year old) axolotls and my cycle crashed BAD. The room we kept them in got hot this summer and I couldn’t figure out my gravel vacuum. One of my lotls has a fungal infection so to be safe I replaced everything in my tank including a new filter and am currently cycling. I bought the master kit but I’m treating this as a brand new tank and am not using previous filter media due to a new filter. I’m tubbing my lotls separately in the meantime with the fungi (hehe) in the fridge. What are my next steps? Do I test the water to make sure it’s safe and keep an eye on it, returning my healthy lotl? About how long will it take for my tank to be safe again?
so does having two filters for a axolotl tank help a lot?
ОтветитьI think your videos are awesome :) please load more content!
ОтветитьI'm sorry but I still cant figure out how to cycle my tank ? I am a hard learner so I'm not blaming you please dont feel that way but I have a beta named kiko and hes been living for a couple months now but I didnt know cycling was even a thing when I got him then I followed you on tik Tok and I'm worried I'm not giving him proper care and that he is surviving not thriving
ОтветитьHelp, I’m cycling my tank with the “Ghost fish” method. It’s only been 4 days & I have a film on top of my water?? I’m only “ghost feeding” once a day. I do have live plants & I did use quick start as well. Is quick start AND ghost feeding too much? This is a 10 gal tank, I don’t have a air stone.. I was hoping to wait on that til I’m closer to putting the fish in but will it help?? Aahhhh I don’t wanna fail at fish keeping 😭
ОтветитьSTABILITY CARRIES ALOT OF BENEFITS!!!!!!!
ОтветитьOnce you cycle your tank and all the levels are at a good place for your fish to now go in and everything’s all fine, do you ever have to ever go through the cycling process again? Or just the daily/weekly 20% water changes, occasional 80-90% changes and what not...
And do you have to keep purchasing the water test kits or do you only need to get one that’ll last for the whole course of the fish tank cycling process?
What about a beneficial bacteria bubbles from petco? I plan on getting lotls in a few months so I’m trying to get as much info as I can!
ОтветитьCould you please do a video demonstrating a water cycling with the produces you use?
ОтветитьI love your energy, keep it up!
ОтветитьStill not clear to me how you adjust the levels of ammonia, nitrite and nitrate if the readings go high?
ОтветитьI've rescued some axolotl and had no idea about cycling! Do I need to take them out and put them somewhere then cycle as I've not done that, just put the little guys in there and feel awful now! 😞 Please help me with this, I'm worried I'm causing them damage 😢
ОтветитьOh no I’m getting my AXOLOTL TOMORROW what do I do what do I dooooooo!
ОтветитьThank you. Thank you! Thank you!!
ОтветитьCould you please video something of you actually doing these things? I’m still confused and I need to know this urgently ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️
ОтветитьIs it ok to just change the water after it poops instead of the cycling?
Ответитьthis helped alot! But when is the next time i have to cycle it again, and how long does it take to cycle it?
ОтветитьWhat is PH
ОтветитьWhat if you don't have beneficial bacteria or your a starter with no old filters
Ответитьis rain water ok?
ОтветитьThank you this was such a helpful video!
ОтветитьIf anyone knows the answer to this question I would really appreciate it! I recently discovered that the cycle in my axolotl's tank crashed (specifically there are too many nitrates and nitrites and the pH level is too low). I'm considering tubbing my axolotl while I fix the tank but an employee at the pet store I went too said that aquatic animals shouldn't go through anything more than a 50% water change and from what i've heard, tubbing requires a 100% water change daily. Is there a way for me to safely tub the axolotl, or should I find another way to fix their tank?
ОтветитьHey, we just got our first axie 3 weeks ago. We had the tank 6 months prior and cycled it. The first two weeks were great, we did water changes and testing levels, the only thing that registered was nitrate’s at a reasonable level. My husband did change the carbon insert after week one and we were adding prime and stabilize at water changes. 3 days ago our nitrates spiked really high. Ammonia levels are good. We’ve done daily water changes to bring nitrates down but by the next morning they’re high again. What would you recommend? I’m feeling tubbing our axie and re cycling until the levels are safe, but would love some guidance. Thank you in advance 😊
ОтветитьExcellent video.
ОтветитьIk this video is old but I’m here trying to learn lol so question… like doing a water change, can you use the water you’re changing out to kick start a cycle? Like instead of tossing it, put the removed water into a tank you want to start cycling and use that? Without the dirty mess of course
ОтветитьMy axie cycle crashed after three years going strong and I feel like a failure. My family had an emergency this last year and I didn’t do my weekly water changes. My girls are tubbed and I’m trying to figure if I need to throw a heater in to their tank to get the tank to recycle through. Did an 80% water change last night. This morning Ammonia shows at 2ppm and nitrite.50 nitrates are red and I can’t tell if it 40 or 80, but I’m gonna assume it’s higher than lower. Plan to do a 30% today. My other axie tank is fine, but that’s probably because I’ve been keeping a regular schedule with it and it’s got my Lone Ranger male in it. I feel bad for my big girls 😭 I’m hoping that the cycle will be able to correct it’s self but I have no idea how long that can take. The temperature in the main tank is 60 right now. Hopefully the colonies will thrive again
ОтветитьI honestly had no clue a tank needed to be cycled. How do I go about cycling a tank if my axolotl is already in it?
