Great list Luli! Cupid Parasite is my favourite Switch otome game ^^ norn9 and nightshade follow, although i haven't played a lot of these yet so may change

My favorite is probably gonna change with more games to play, but right now it will be Even if Tempest. It was so good in general, but I also think that a lot of my affection for the game is coming from my love for Tyril. Honorable mention of Dairoku, if I am thinking of something to replay to just relax, this is the first one that comes in mind for me.

I enjoyed playing Sweet Fuse: At Your Side. It was lovely, the characters were interesting and Junichi Suwabe was in it. If only that game could come out on The Switch 😞

Completely agree with you regarding the Even if Tempest OST. I think it’s one of the best I’ve heard. In general I wish I could download more otome OST. I understand getting the physical cd, but I don’t have cd players lol

My favorites are probably Cupid Parasite and Taisho x Alice.

Some other switch games to check out {since I know how pricy some console games are and there are some that I feel like don’t get talked about.} are Bakumatsu Renka {Usually when people talk about switch games it never comes up. It’s one of the most accurate Bakumatsu era otome I have played and I believe it is made by some of the people who did Storm lover. It does seem a bit similar. It has this casual vibe and endings and routes that surprised me. There is only one ending but it doesn Mean all the endings are happy. So would avoid if you only like happy endings} I got it on sale for 15 and honestly even at full price I recommend.

Byakko-tai samurai boys: A short otome game that I think can be finished in a day or two due to the very short routes. It’s a historical otome not based on the Shinsengumi or Sengoku era so it’s a bit different. But the art is really pretty and it has some nice characters. A tsundere boy and a yandere route in one game always makes me happy. The bad endings are more entertaining than the happy endings. I like the happy endings but for the yandere guy his bad ending was more enjoyable to play in my opinon. Recommend for those looking for a light short inexpensive otome to play.

Iris school of wizardry. It is a not so expensive voiced otome. I think it is around 20. It takes place at a wizard school and has pretty Shoujo style art. Also, Nobuhiko Okamoto voices the secret route character. Also, Tetsuya Kakihara {voices Shin from Amnesia, Victor from Code realize, and witch of ruin from Even if tempest } voices Clyde. Not my favorite otome but it was fun to play and it was nice to hear Nobuhiko Okamoto and Tetsuya Kakihara in the game.

Kitty Love is a cute cheaper otome that is voiced as well. But the translations aren’t the best. It didn’t bother me that much since it didn’t take me out of the game that much. It was really cute and had an interesting concept and it didn’t really have anything dark. I think one route had a bit of angst side. But mostly fluff so I would recommend for those who don’t like dark games.

Also, Voltage games on switch {not switch exclusive. There is a app as well.} who recommend those since they are a great deal compared to buying them on the app. Don’t recommend the dlc though since the price is way too high. But they give you a lot of content on there for a decent price.

Hope this helps since I know that buying games on switch can get expensive and sometimes you can miss a good game. I like finding the hidden otome switch titles that surprise me. I think that there is a sale on voltage games on the eshop and I think the sale is still going on the Askys site so you can get otome games there cheaper?

Wow! So many games! I don’t own all of these and have played only a handful so far, but my top 3 on switch:

1. Cupid Parasite
2. Collar x Malice
3. Bustafellows

This is pretty confronting since I thought I highly valued romance in my otome games, but 2 of my too 3 aren’t romance heavy 🤣. In fairness I originally played bustafellows not knowing it was otome and it was a nice bonus. The story and characters are good, imo.

Cupid Parasite is my favourite and it is special. So funny and fluffy and good romance. My heart still flutters remembering one of the routes.

I have to play many more of these games to be able to make a definitive list, but so far, this is my list. Love this stream, motivates me to play more games 💜

I was about to mention Bakumatsu Renka Shinshengumi but then I read your desc and saw this was only part 1 of 3... Have you heard of it by any chance?
Can't answer your question this time around as I've played like one fifth of this list... My Switch backlog is enormous Oo I'm also the kind of player who has trouble picking favourites and likes to pick what to play based on moods more than anything else, so I'm really grateful for just how varied the Switch locs have been in the last couple years! I hope that now that more publishers are aware of demand, the Switch can become what the Vita once was for JP audiences, and offer even more otoge in the future so that we can all drown in our backlogs :D

I agree I feel like Cupid Parasite was more steamy , was actually surprising that it was rate T here in the states instead of M like Olympia Soiree is. I mean I understand why Olympia is an M rating here because of those bad endings and the heavier topics but Cupid Parasite felt came on very strong. I think the voice acting in Cupid during some of the romantic scenes was very steamy.

Code realize is my favorite otome game ever so it was nice to see your different opinion since everyone around me also loves it. I wasn’t into the writing of cafe enchante tho so I was surprised it was done by the same person lol. Also CxM def deserves the top spot!

i loved the video and comments during the live stream. I admit im one of the ones that buy otome games and play a bit of them all from time to time but its been awhile since i finished a route. ah~ i think the only game that made me cry was hakuouki demon of the fleeting blossom i do wanna find that in more modern otome games, for example i think a good one would be one of the ones im currently playing which is pretend lover it gives me the old school anime vibes like nana etc. paradise kiss. trying to figure things out while youre still trying to figure out where you are in life etc. i cancelled my preorder for winters wish cause of the reviews. and moved the preorder to shuuen no virche . ive also backed otome game touchstarved! the art is so pretty, and the campaign ends in 6 days. in terms of another game to play im wondering if i should get jack jeanne but i admit that im still hesitant....

I have CxM on Vita. One of my FAVE Otome games. You think it’s worth it for me to buy it on Switch? I don’t know. I was used to my Vita screen. It was fine. But after getting my Switch? Going back to Vita is hard 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

Finally bought my first otome game (paid otome game) although it wasn't my first choice but sales did the thing and i ended up buying Bustafellows even if im a big fan of romance but well we will see how it ends up

One of my best friends and i have played thru a lot of the titles youve played/mentioned LOL and we actually think this game has more .... CxM, piofiore and Olympia Soiree all have my heart, a surprisingly deep and good story otome for me was ephemeral fantasy on dark.

I think collar x malice is my fave now xD even takeru grew on me after playing his Route💖😸 im Like three routes in and i Took Long Breaks Just because i dont want it to end (i have the second Game too But still)

I just started Cupid Parasite and I’m so in love omg! Immediately became my favorite otome game (I only played 4 including this lol) the colors were jarring at first ngl but once I got used to it I started thinking what am I gonna do when I finish it I need similar games! (I’m literally in the prologue and seriously worrying about this lmao). Point is I needed to tell you that your taste in games is immaculate and your recommendations are everything!

you should give the "spicy" level to this games as well.

Returning here as i have a dilemma choosing my 3rd game! I'd love to try some new tropes, something new that i may enjoy so far i played Bustafellows and Cupid Parasite and currently thinking about Birushana and Code Realize. And omg I'm so PICKY that it's c r a z y! About Birushana i like the history aspect, i liked animes about similar themes tho the main character (MC) was a concubine in a palace so it's a little different, i like that you can romance the bad guy, but I'm not so sure about the story as lot of people say it gets annoying to repeat and idk about the MC tho i can't say why i feel like that. On the other hand in Code Realize i like the characters and MC but I'm not so much in the story aspect it sound boring, and the true route is making me irritated that's mostly why I'm still thinking about Birushana. I had to rant

Ephemeral was really good in my opinion. As someone who is used to mobile games, this feels like a medium story. I wouldn't say short or long. I played Shiba's and Nagi's route. I really love Nagi the most. I've heard the other 2 routes were really good but I didn't want to get into them because I wouldn't want to date them. Nagi's story was very emotional and yeah the grandmother said don't fall in love because you're partner might see you rotting and ending up disgusted at you. Having a zombie protagonist is really cool. The fact they take way longer time to heal if they even trip or something is really cool. The atmosphere of the game is great. The voice acting is great. I found the translation were pretty good

I agree with you on Lover Pretend. It was okay but also kind of meh. I played Riku's route and tried to play the blonde route but I really didn't like where the situation was headed and I couldn't see myself doing what the protagonist was doing so I stopped that one
