I watched this back in 77 this was my first live action spiderman, i wanted to see this show since it was last on tv lol yes its cheesy but i love it, i even saw the cinema versions too ❤️

Fun nostalgia. I know the big budget villains couldn’t be included. But no Betty Brant? Flash Thompson? Harry Osborn? Gwen or MJ? And JJ is too nice. I guess they wanted created freedom with the property.

I watched this as a kid in the 70s. Maybe someone can help me. Was there ever an episode where spiderman fell off a building and was unmasked? I swear this aired but maybe it's my child imagination conjuring something up.

Watching this for the first time, the climbing scenes are absolutely hilarious, it doesn't take away from the show though which is really good and well done, it is just a stylistic decision to depict his climbing and it was because of the technology of the time. It is just so absurd looking, you see his ass stuck up in the air and he keeps stopping to turn around and do multiple stares at the camera and makes me giggle every time i see it

This version of JJJ is just as great as JK simmons i think. it shows a lot more of the paternal nature of the relationship he has with peter parker and i really enjoy that aspect of the character

I remember how disappointed I was at 10-11-years-old. I watched every minute and love checking them out now, particularly "The Chinese Web." TY!
(For the hardcore: make sure to find the Disney+/Marvel documentary on the Japanese live-action show. It was GREAT!)

I'm so hooked right now with this series, totally loved. Despite limitations of the era (the 70's) and budget, this series is awesome. I like Nicholas Hammond's Spiderman, makes honor to the character and deserves recognition perhaps in the final Spiderverse movie because I don't think he appeared yet in the second.
