Lets Max (Warframe) 131 - Tigris Prime vs Sancti Tigris!

I understand that armor hurts many small attacks more then 1 big attack of equal damage but I always felt that the 4 shot Tigris made up its damage by letting you ignore duplex auto shoot it once get 2 shot burst giving you the option of damage or more small target mode is the damage of 2 shots from the shy build really that much less combined then the normal raw damage build

so, as far as status shotguns go would would you take this over the strun wraith?

Should probably note that a Status build can 4 shot a level 130 corrupted heavy gunner.

To me it all comes down to weather or not you want the syndicate procs. I mean, let's be honest, you probably won't need THAT much damage. Heck, after the endless missions became obsolete, making 60 mins survivals pretty pointless, it's likely you won't ever see enemies that won't die from Sancti tigris' burst.
So... Prime for quick caps and on Trinity/Equinox or sancti for everything else.

I really feel that what you said about Vicious Spread is correct, and I don't understand why so many people go crazy for it. Due to the way that the damage calculations in Warframe work, adding on another 90% elemental will, in fact, generally push the damage further up than putting on Vicious Spread, without the accuracy loss. And if you already have all 4 90% mods on, and still have room for Vicious Spread, it's likely that you're missing one of the staple mods (in fact, if you have all 4 90% mods on, it's likely that you're missing some staple mods).

ATM it's just: Get tigris -> get S Tigris -> get P tigris
I'd rather have the P. and S. tigris be more competitors ( more or less equal in damage) with one key difference: That weird duplex auto trigger.
Right now there isn't much of a difference between overkill and overkill prime, but since that's the case just using one barrel and not having to rebind alt fire to LMB every mission would probably appeal to quite a few people.
The P tigris is interesting for tigris users, but we already have a endgame weapon for those in the S. Tigris, why not have the userbase expanded to people who don't like the duplex so everyone can have his/her favourite tigris.

h3dsh0t thanks for making this. i run a very similar build to your second one and love it but with one difference i use Blaze instead of sweeping serration which gives me a few thousand extra damage because blaze buffs all isp and adds fire damage. with that one change i am able to do 37k damage per shot while you have 33-34k. any reason why you use sweeping serration?

Well S.Tigris is my most used, favorite gun and I can say to my opinion (after testing many many many builds) Vicious Spread + Seeking Fury is a MUST! And here is why:
1. S.Tigris already got an insane dmg, so unless I'm going into an endless run where I'm going to be facing lvl 180+ enemies, I don't need more dmg.
2. This 2 mods will give you 90% dmg (always good), punch through which is a must on any shotgun, reload speed which on tigris is useful because of the duplex shot and spread is awesome to clear out tons of lower lvl enemies which r running at u... punch through + spread + dmg = boom and enemies are gone.

If you got to deal with a heavy gunner - well first of all you won't be using a shotgun from across the room, you will get closer and it will oneshot anything. but spread is super useful in combination with punch through on almost any mission. Just my personal exp and opinion.

You need to farm up and forma another one so you can get Blaze on the second and third builds. And yeah, Vicious Spread is never worth it (except on maybe the Drakgoon, since its accuracy is so high anyway).

How us the wepon on null star ball? would the extra damage help out more than what the sancti brings? i currently use the HEK/Vaykor Hek for most of my loadouts. i use thr normal tigris becaude i haven't gotten my hands on the sancti yet.

Vicious Spread turns it into the Doom 2 Supershotgun, more or less - arguably closer to the Brutal Doom version.

Sancti tigris is da best, even tho it deal less damage per shot it provide more reload speed, aoe proc and heal. With removal of endless void there no reason to go crazy 1-2 hours of survs. All new void did is that you ends fight against 40-50 scrubs at starchart, which die from anything, literally. Even regular tigris damage wise is overkill with content that we currently have. P tigris deal more damage, but that damage is completely useless, outside of dick measure aka "i do 60k damage per shot, hell yea!!!111"

I heard rumors that In order to use Tigris prime, you need mastery rank 13, is that true?

The 100% status build is beyond OP. I can kill a lvl 115 corrupted bombard in 2 bullets and a corrupted heavy gunner in 4. and on top of that I have only a r8 Primed point blank and a Tactical pump in stead of Sweeping Serration (sold mine for 200p a while ago).

I wouldn't say tigris prime is necessarily better than the scanti version thou. It actually depends on which faction U fight against.

If you fight against grineer and the void then no doubt tigris prime will win. However, i f U fight against corpus and infested I'm pretty sure scanti will win due to faster reload, meaning it will do more damage and kill more than the prime. Also, since the void farming got revamped and end game is pretty much pointless now, tigris prime isn't that necessary really. And I'm pretty sure most of us farm keys on dark sector excava on pluto where you fight against very high level infested so yeah I'm pretty sure scanti will do better there.

PS: You can actually get scanti tigris up to 100% status chance :v

I would put tainted shell because it would be a sniper-shotgun, but it one shots most enemies so fire rate isnt much of a problem.

Do you think a build similar to gas/electric Lanka is viable for Tigris (with 90% status)? Since it has even more base damage than Lanka.

This doesn't really make sense l used a maxed Burdened magazine and maxed Ammo Stock on my Sancti Tigris and it only goes up to 3 shots.

Why do we need another Tigris? DE wants money. simple as that.

The Tigris is popular and I'm sure a lot more Prime Access packs have sold than if it was a less popular weapon.

Although it's not all bad. The Galatine was falling behind so the Prime is justified.

status build on this is so powerful! also imo it's a tossup between seeking fury and vicious spread since 1 will increase your dmg and proc dmg while increasing the spread (which against groups of enemies doesn't really bother me too much) while the other one will add that punch through to agains proc more status... the amount of dmg this thing deals with 100% status is insane!

If one wanted to use this for Slash procs, using the third build shown above, would Vicious Spread be better than Hell's Chamber? Or Blaze? I think Vicious Spread adds to base damage like Point Blank, so is added to bleeding damage? Would Chilling Reload be worth considering in lieu of seeking fury?

Another mod to consider, as a replacement for Tactical Pump is Chilling Reload. It adds 40% reload in comparison to Tactical Pump's 30%, costs only 5 capacity as compared to 7, and it also adds 60% Cold damage.

nice build..i like the explanation why u put tactical pump there...i was gonna mek max damage...but again max damage are for the higher lvl....

why would you want to use any of the tigris variants in a low level mission, for that you can use a rifle or if you really like shotguns you can use the board prime or the sobek, although your point about the sancti being better at clearing low level trash mobs faster is true it's still invalid since there are way better weapons that can deal with crowds
